| DiarmaidBHK (307), Pennsylvania | | March 28, 2012 Ate lunch on the Belgian bar side. They have 30 on draft with two on cask. Nice selection of Belgian and English stuff but also several taps for local stuff which is nice to see. The interior was gastropub with lots of polished wood and mood lighting. They also have an extensive bottle list though the organization by color was a bit weird. I was the only one in there so the bartender let me be which is fine. Prices are what you’d expect for mainline. The only thing that annoyed was their zero substitutions vibe but it seems like a nice neighborhood place to share a couple of drinks with friends. | | MikeSTroupe (10), exton, Pennsylvania | | January 6, 2012 Awesome food beer and wine selection. It’s a cozy little place for lunch! | | jkwood04 (29), Connecticut | | November 19, 2011 A nice restaurant/bar. I had a Russian River on tap, but they had a huge bottle list. The service was good, and it wasn’t too expensive. Definitely worth stopping by. | | rouxsean (10), , | | November 18, 2011 Great selection of drafts! | | orangesol (28), Pennsylvania | | August 31, 2011 The next door bar is pretty narrow but deep with one side being almost completely taken up by a very long bar with plenty of seating. Behind the bar there are a bunch of shelves full of glassware and a few chalk boards with the draft list on them. Opposite the bar is a bunch of booths to handle the overflow from the bar. The service was good but we had to wait for a while to get a refill when they were standing not even five feet away doing nothing in particular. The quality and selection of food is excellent. They have a great selection of appetizers, seafood, cheese plates, sandwiches, burgers and a few full entree’s. I had a burger with gruyère cheese and Prosciutto. It was awesome but it comes with greens rather than fries so be prepared to pay extra if you want them. The selection of beer was very good. I had a RR Pliny the Elder, Cantillon Saint Lamvinus, and a cask Allagash Black on the hand pump. All were served in the appropriate glasses and they were all awesome. There was still a few more I really wanted to try but I just didn’t have the time. They also have a very large bottle list of beers from around the world. The "rarer" beers are pricey but they are worth every penny. Next time I will get one for sure. Overall, a great bar with good food and even better beer. I will return for sure. | | lachrymalisis (10), Pennsylvania | | August 9, 2011 Good place. Nice atmosphere, slightly obnoxious staff, but friendly enough to be above average. Fairly knowledgeable and capable of answering questions. Good selection, pricey bottles, but draft tends to be about middle of the road when it comes to pricing. I think there were 12 varieties including 2 casks being poured when I went in the other night. The food was actually the highlight. The drunken mussels and pommes frittes were damn good. I will definitely be back, just not as frequently as if they were a bit less expensive. | | watson1977 (55), The dub c, Pennsylvania | | August 8, 2011 Nice place...long bar with warm soft lighting. Very nice craft and import taps and bottles...pliny is frequently available here which is nice. Service is good but not above and beyond. Lots of nice items on the menu...exotic cheese selections are interesting and extensive. Overall pretty nice but the prices definite reflect the main line location a bit. NO TVs! That’s a drag...I like sports with my beer. | | Goodgrief (27), Middletown, Delaware | | July 4, 2011 Went here for Sunday Brunch. Wow. Gourmet cheeses for half price and a beer menu to die for. Had Hill Farmstead Abner and Double Citra but they also had Pliny and Blind Pig and a whole slew of Belgian stuff I hadn’t even heard of. It’s a sort of upscale hipster kind of place, with a lot of fancy stuff on the menu (lamb, buffalo and other weird meats), but lots of normal good looking stuff, too. All that I ate were the half price (Sunday) cheeses, but everything else looked delicious. Great stuff. | | MaxxDaddy (20), Hoboken, New Jersey | | May 27, 2011 Came here to burn some time during Jess’ reunion weekend. Rates seemed great for this place and for good reason. Sat at the bar and the tap list was most excellent. Offerings from RR, Pizza Port, and even Fantome on tap. Really friendly and knowledgable bartender. Prices were very fair in my opinion. I’d definitely come back here next time we’re around this area. Hopefully sooner than Jess’ next reunion. | | Steeeve (34), Ambler, Pennsylvania | | May 1, 2011 Nice long bar with plenty of booths and tables. Service was great, but on a sunny Saturday afternoon, we were literally the only people in there. Selection was great with plenty of taps and an extensive bottle list. Food was very good, interesting upscale cuisine. I had an elk burger, which was delicious and tender but just a tad over seasoned. They have a rotating wild game burger. Definitely a little on the pricey side, but I guess that’s to be expected of a nicer place in the middle of a high income area. Overall it was a really nice place, and I’d definitely go back, especially after I realized it’s only a few minutes from Plymouth Meeting. |
