stopped in to kill some time 7/20/11. what a dump...the interior is ugly/thrown together and depressing. yet somehow it was busy on a wednesday at 2. decent beers on tap but the food was hideous... is that a buffet in the corner? wtf? this place is like a time warp...

I was introduced to Nick and Nates by Book-M-Danno who has a cabin about 20 min from Waynesville. This is one of his favorite pizza stops in the area and I will agree with him there. Tasty pizza for where you are at in the country (it’s no Chicago pizza). You can also get your self a fairly good brew for as family oriented as this place is. They usually have several taps from around the country. I’ve seen Great Divide, DFH and a few others that escape me. In bottles there is always a fair selection from Highlands Brewing and some other locals. The selection will not wow you but there is good beer to be had with your pizza. This is definitely a family environment so it is generally quiet and you will never see an unruly group present. A good stop for lunch or an afternoon snack.
