Chill ass joint off an alleyway in Wellington. The ’biance crushes it. Maybe 10 taps but interesting NZ stuff off the beaten path. You’ll find what you need. Lots of bottles too. A place you can hang out all night, maybe take a date or whatevs. Highly recommended.
2016-05-30. Relatively large space manages to feel comfortable and cosy. Friendly staff - the bartender apparently knows someone at a place I go to back in Toronto! Some outdoor seating. Approaching from down an alley feels a bit strange until you round the corner! Not sure what its like coming from the other direction. Tap list is decent but just okay tonight, bottle list is much more impressive, with some rarities like Craftwork and vintage bottles such as 8 Wired Batch 18 etc. Pricing seems a bit cheaper for those than some other places as well, but I didn’t really compare specifics. Food menu looks good but we weren’t super hungry so we opted for a snack with a corn dog, which was tasty but closer to a sausage than a hotdog by North American standards. Mix of tables and comfy chairs make for a very inviting atmosphere. Great combination of beer geek selection and comfortable "spend all night here" atmosphere.

A nice out of the way location and cosy old school premises. Tap selection is always good and often excellent. Food is a notch higher than usual too. Service is variable though - the one thing they could definitely improve.
An excellent establishment. I knew we were onto a good thing when I spotted the Yeastie Boys sign from down the road! First class cask ale on tap from Townshend and Cassels, and a good selection of other keg beers. Food was simple but excellent and the ’two for one Tuesday’ special offer knocks your socks of for value. Staff could probably help out inexperienced punters a bit more - I witnessed some a little overwhelmed by the selection of unfamiliar beers. If you’re in Wellington, this is a must.
Busy with a generally trendy type of custom and interesting artwork abounds. Service was prompt and friendly with good product knowledge. Plenty of bottled and tap beers to choose from and a bit of a must visit when in Wellington.
A thoroughly enjoyable visit.
Hard to find place up an alley that is not on the tourist maps. Tap lineup good, but not as impressive as some others I have seen. Food was quite good, though a bit pricey. Bottles of everything, but not as good value as the draught. They were busy so it was hard to rate the staff. Door to outside smoking area kept blowing open, which make sitting anywhere near the door unpleasant. Place across the alley also has about 20+ taps, but many more macros then decent craft.
A unique beer list where I found some NZ beers I had not seen elsewhere. Cosy bar area with some solid pizzas. The staff was very knowledgeable about all the beers they offered.

Small place tucked away in an alley and around a corner. Handful of tables out front. Inside is scruffy and lived in, in a good way. Food was very tasty, notches above your average pub fare. Decent enough tap selection, but tons of interesting bottles as well, as visible behind the bar.
