We stopped in here after Beervana shut down for the night and found the place rather empty. I was rather surprised since there were a lot of beer travelers in the duty at the time. It eventually did fill up later when we were leaving. Loads of taps and bottles with a large variety of styles and plenty of local and NZ beers on. The bar keepers that night were great. They kept our beers full and were genuinly friendly. Even when it got packed they were still cheery and quick with a drink. The main barroom seems more for drinkers who want a snack while behind the wall was a proper dining room. We played a couple board games while drinking down some beers and ciders. Really solid pub.

Host to a good selection of taps and several more from Boundary Road as well as what looks to be a permanent two-tap Brewdog feature. Relatively busy for a late-ish Thursday evening with several groups playing poker. Spacious, perhaps a bit trendy though not so much to its detriment. Certainly a plentiful bottled selection including some harder-to-find offerings. Good and well worth a look-in but not essential.

When Mrs Jimthechap and I visited it was Texas Hold íEm day, not a massive plus for us, but then who am I to judge? Good selection of both bottled and tap beers, however the beer I ordered was far too cold. A nice array of local beers too. Again, a good selection of games to keep us occupied in pleasant enough surroundings. The fries failed the tomato sauce test (bland and commercial, not house made - itís not difficult team, come on). Service was prompt and friendly.

New, big, centrally located dedicated craft beer bar about 100 meters from Little Beer Quarter (which was closed for the holiday week). I think they have a deal with Boundary Road (owned by Asahi) to promote their products, but they also offer a good dozen more taps of various stuff, including things not seen elsewhere in town (nothing special, just unique). Wasnít really drawn to the space inside or out, but it seems like a nice addition to the Wellington craft beer scene, even if it comes off as little "crafty".

A nice combination of craft beer and mainstream venue which caters well to both. 53 taps last count, ranging from Heineken and Carlsberg through English ales (Fullers etc.), big name Germans (Hofbrau, Schneider etc.) to an extensive range of US, European (Brewdog etc.) and a large selection of Kiwi crafts. Good friendly knowledgable staff too. Good spot.

A few empty taps on a couple of visits but generally a decent selection of draught beer. Lacking character of other Welly beer venues and appears to attract a more ícityí crowd. All good, and warrants a look from time to time as some gems do appear.

Came across this place before we went to Beervana. Staff were friendly and helpful, didnít know a great deal of their product but the bar was only about 2 weeks old so that can be forgiven. Free pizza was handed out during the night which is always nice. Cool little place which was pumping by 7pm. Not a great tap selection but the bottles more than made up for that. Nice to see all the Westvletís there and some other hard to get US stuff. Great NZ selection. Nice place
