I stop by this place at least weekly as I work right by it, and you can get plenty of good beer here. Priding it’s self as the "best selection in town" is saying basically nothing for West Des Moines, except they do try to rotate a lot of good beer and they keep expanding. Lots of times special release stuff goes here before other places in the metro so it’s worth a frequent visit. I think I may be done shopping at the University Hy Vee. This store had easily the best beer selection of any store I have visited in DM. There was a very large singles selection area and all those bottles are in the cooler. I like that and most places don’t do that with their mix a six. There were Rogue bombers I have not seen anywhere else as well as all the relevant Boulevard 750’s. This was well lad out with a diverse selection. I will frequent this Hy Vee when I am looking for good beer in DM. |
