Goebel Liquor

A world-class place located in unsuspecting Wichita, in the southwest corner of the city. Looks like nothing special from the outside -- just a big strip mall and generic-looking big liquor store. Inside is a pretty sensational beer selection. Since KS doesn't have much of a beer scene, you're treated to an outstanding selection of Midwest and abroad breweries from the US and internationally, including an awesome lambic selection (tons of 3F). They also have a bunch of mead (including plenty of the White series from Superstition). Price-wise, this place is pretty cheap, as is the state in general, but a bit more expensive than a bottle shop I visited in Topeka. If you're in Wichita, set aside some serious time to peruse this place.

I hit this place 9:00 AM on my way out of town. They have large quantity of beers in coolers available for sale as singles. Regional beers (KS, TX, CO) were heavily represented. There did not seem to be anyone present when I was there that were knowledgeable about the beers, or even interested in them. But someone must be to stock such a wide and interesting selection.

A must if you’re anywhere in the general vicinity. Close to the airport -- very convenient when I was on a project a few towns away and could swing in for a mix-6 to add to my suitcase on the way home.

Store front, festooned with beer posters and neon. Lots of coolers and shelves, and a handy locals-only cooler. The employees were very attentive, knowledgeable, and entertaining. Massive selection of singles and bombers, with some interesting options. Prices seemed fair, and my visit on a Wednesday got me 10% off. Well curated selection, and great employees. I’d come back again, if I am in the area.

If you can get in the state of Kansas, you can get it at Goebel. That’s really all you need to know, but the place is always clean and the staff are always polite and helpful. Good selection of both refrigerated and off-the-shelf bottles, and everything they sell they offer as singles. Fair everyday pricing with nice sales and occasionally great clearance items. They offer frequent tastings from local and regional breweries and occasionally stock growlers from some of the smaller local microbreweries.

Goebel Liquor and Rob’s World of Beers is a destination beer point in Midwestern beer oasis. Goebel carries over 1500+ with season releases and is liscensed to carry every beer in Kansas (antiquainted liquor wholesale distribution system). Rob and his staff have visited over 100 breweries world wide and have cultivated relationships with brew masters making them some of the most knowledgable and friendly staff you will ever have opprotunity to com across. Could spend hours just browsing the store.

Lots of single beers available, and the staff has always been helpful. It’s well organized and clean. Best beer selection in town for sure.

A decent sized store with a huge selection and singles. Service was decent, but nothing special. Prices were decent and I think likely the best place in the area.

An interesting store in Wichita. Not in the best of neighborhoods, but the selection can’t be beat. If you’re passing through Wichita, it is well worth your while to check them out.
