| Maverick34 (32), New York | | May 7, 2012 This was our college standard, being the only true bar near campus. Too bad we had no idea the beer was so good.Great bar..go if you’re in town. | | kassner (53), Wexford, Pennsylvania | | March 15, 2012 Really great pub environment with mostly a young crowd. A little youthful noise. Good food and great beer selection and knowledgable service. | | hubrew22 (10), Virginia | | March 2, 2012 Cool college scene, with a good selection of draft brews. | | jeremytoni (110), Swedesboro, New Jersey | | November 13, 2011 Decent selection of draft and bottle beers. | | tia (33), Sandston, Virginia | | September 27, 2011 Enjoyed a few brews here I wasn’t familiar with. Medium-sized but well rounded draft list, bigger bottle selection. Disappointed that they didn’t have anything on cask.
The facilities are a little run down. Smelled a little funky like stale spilled alcohol and bad air flow. Service was fine- though the server we got was not well-versed in the beer selection- I think she was the hostess filling in for another server. Food was just ok- went for the fish and chips and the fish was overdone and the chips a little mushy. They were also out of one of the only vegetarian (no meat or fish) things on the menu, leaving my cousin to a (smallish) salad. Pricing was average.
I can see this being a good place to hang out and grab a good brew, and, if you happen to be hungry, some grub. Or just hang and have a brew and get your dinner somewhere else. | | Photog (26), Camillus, New York | | July 13, 2011 Pretty decent bar. Selection was good, had some things that i’ve never seen before. Went here a couple years ago and the ambience was much better. This time it was more of a sports bar with dancing scene then a old pub to relax. Service was fine. | | GT2 (196), Washington DC | | June 2, 2011 Very cool place in Colonial Williamsburg about ten feet from William & Mary’s campus. This place has a sort of "mug club" where you get massive pours of the the beers on tap for a discount. Pretty much everything on tap is craft with a focus on American craft and a few random English/Scottish/Welsh beers. Bottle list is large and I found about 2-3 beers I had never heard of before. Atmosphere is great- a huge college bar and a ton of fun. Can’t remember what night I went but it was either Friday or Saturday and it was packed to gills and a complete riot. Very cool vibe and cool people. Excellent all around. | | sloth (28), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland | | May 11, 2011 Hell, i gotta kick outta this place as did my wife. After so much colonial BS it was nice to sit down to a good brew and a different menu! I,ll admit the first two beers i asked for were,nt available but we ended up drinkin pretty well. Cute college kiddys crowd, hmmmm? Nice bar, decent selection, clean pissery and Teresa was a most excellent waitress. I do believe i aggravated her but she handled it well. The wife and i had a very enjoyable time here. Cherry bombs rock and the walk back dont! Stop in, yer gonna dig it. I,d rate Teresa a 100! | | Velkyal (62), Charlottesville, Virginia | | February 26, 2011 My go to place in Williamsburg. Good food, with mammoth serving if so inclined. A good range of beer and service which is unobtrusive but there when you need it. A proper pub. Oh and they have cask, what more could you ask? | | maniac (98), Baltimore, Maryland | | January 2, 2010 Located right next to the William and Mary campus. Very much a pub atmosphere. Friendly staff with a nice beer selection and some great specials. If I lived closer, I’d probably spend quite a bit of time here. |
