| mnoud (15), Martinsburg, West Virginia | | January 4, 2012 Small store with a small but interesting selection. Selection is a good contrast to other local stores, containing choices not seen at other stores. Staff was friendly and knowldegable. Some glassware. Probably not your everyday stop but worth checking now and again. | | Drake (295), Charlottesville, Virginia | | January 8, 2011 Located downtown on a pedestrian mall not too far from Piccadilly’s. Small beer selection but with a decent and eclectic variety. Some things I hadn’t seen elsewhere. Prices were high but not unreasonable. The person working was nice but gave me some grief for putting $5 on a credit card (they want to do $10). The glassware selection is anemic, except the private collection behind the counter which of course is not for sale. Decent stop. | | llcooldave (22), San Antonio, Texas | | December 21, 2010 Second visit to this place. I try to stop by when visiting family in Front Royal. Beer selection has definitely improved. During my 15min visit I saw a number of people coming in to purchase beer over the wine. Great little place to find some hidden gems (for this area of Virginia at least). As I said, a regular stop for me when visiting NOVA. | | Davetopay (14), Leesburg, Virginia | | October 7, 2009 A funky little shop along "the walk" in old town. They have a good selection of micro/craft brews and some high end macros as well. Don’t forget the wine....
The people are friendly and helpful, and always willing to order something that isn’t on the shelf for you. Having homebrew gear and supplies on hand doesn’t hurt either. One of the few places in Winchester where you can explore the new and unusual. | | vyvvy (24), Florissant, Missouri | | September 6, 2006 A nice comfortable beer shop in Winchester. The staff is very knowledgeable about their products and happy to discuss them with you. It is a very laid back shop that also sells glassware, local wines and hot sauces. The selection of microbrews is not huge, but everything there was quality - Stoudt’s, Troegs, Old Dominion, etc. Prices are about typical for the products. They also let me split up six-packs. There was also a decent selection of imports. A good shop to go to if you are in Winchester. |
