jaybo99 (7), Massachusetts does not count - explanation | | July 23, 2011 [ Updated December 10, 2011 ] Large store that emphasizes wine but has a growing selection of beer that is now extensive. Many of the small bottles are shelved in a "form your own six-pack" area. Service is enthusiastic and Justin is extremely helpful and knowledgeable; others are uneven and sometimes indifferent. Prices are average at best. I find it very convenient, but not my first choice. Even though I live nearby, I have found better selection, service, and prices elsewhere that are worth a drive, e.g., in Stoneham. | brikelly (3), New Hampshire does not count - explanation | | April 17, 2010 Had my first visit tonight - and wow, what a great place! Apart from the fact that they have a wonderful selection (Abbey, wild, sours, lambics, stouts, odd stuff and plenty of USA craft beers) they are really helpful and knowledgeable. Within seconds of me looking like I needed help I had a staff member offering to help, and boy did he know his stuff. Had a great time learning from him and found some wonderful beers to try over the next few weeks. Will definitely make the 40min drive to their store again soon. | | Duhast500 (10), Exile In Medford, Massachusetts | | August 5, 2009 I must say that this is the best store that I have been to so far. I was very impressed by the beer selection that I found here. A wide selection from imports to great craft beers. A wide selection from the best Belgian beers from the Trappist breweries to craft brewers like Alesmith, Lost Abby, Troegs, and many others. The service was very helpful, many times I was asked if I needed help. The prices were pretty good and the mix a six section was a pretty cool surprise. I managed to pick a complete six pack of beers that I had yet to try. A really great experince.
| gfreed (1), , Massachusetts does not count - explanation | | October 3, 2008 Outstanding selection of American and foreign beer, especially Belgian and Belgian-style. And that’s just the warm beer. Don’t neglect the coolers, and also note that you can build your own six-pack if you’re in a non-committal mood. | | mvcramer (16), Lexington, Massachusetts | | August 20, 2008 Nice big liquor store that has really made a push to expand their better beer inventory. Huge selection of Belgians and local brews. Nice staff, reasonably knowledgeable. They offer a better beer tasting every Friday evening. Nice place that deserves the business. It’s important to support people that have gone out of their way to focus on beer for us! |
