| dead_baldrick (10), Leuven, Belgium | | May 25, 2012 The place to be near Leuven if you want to buy beer. Vast selection at very good prices. Staff is very helpful. Heaven is a place on earth, and it’s called ABS Drinks ... | gor (2), , Belgium does not count - explanation | | March 1, 2012 ABS Drinks is the kind of place you only find in Belgium. Where else would you find a beverage store where beer entusiasts from London hunt for specialty beers from their spreadsheets while the locals get their crates of Stella and CocaCola for the weekend? High-end beer specialist and neighbourhood drink shop under one roof. Huge selection of the finest Belgian beers, very good prices, friendly atmosphere and competent staff. Definitely worth the drive from Brussels, or if you don’t have a car, there is a train station nearby. | | auderale (58), Bitburg, Germany | | November 18, 2011 Pretty good Belgian beer shop. Pretty decent selection. Didn’t see any Alvinne stuff during this visit but pretty happy to get some St. Bernardus Christmas. Will definitetly stop back when in the Leuven area. Nice little place!!! Customer Service was ok,, but the cashier was pretty helpful wrapping stuff up!!!! | | prawlie (36), , England | | October 27, 2011 Excellent Belgian beer shop, nicely displayed selection with friendly staff (with excellent English which was a help). All the usual trappist suspects and some select brews too. The value for money is also excellent. | | dudebun (16), , Germany | | August 1, 2011 Lots of great beer (lots of variety of Struise, Alvinne, De Dolle, De Ranke, Dupont, De la Senne etc). Truly a glorious shop. Print out the travel map though, it’s a little tricky to find the first time. Definitely worth the trip if you’re in the neighbourhood. | | suprchunk (60), Heinsberg, Germany | | July 2, 2011 Nice little shop off the beaten path. Decent selection. Some of the prices are a bit higher on a few things, but most of the prices are well below what you will find elsewhere. They do tend to run low on a lot of the good stuff. But if you want to tick a bunch of stuff you won’t see around, this is a good place to go to. | | rotjoch (35), Antwerpen, Belgium | | February 22, 2011 One of the best beerstores in Belgium, and perhaps the cosiest. worth a trip! | | Travlr (637), Washington, Washington DC | | June 24, 2010 BigMomma took me to this place, and it was definitely worth the trip. Large variety of well-selected beers at good prices - most Cantillon was around 5 euro for a 750 ml bottle. Had some rarities, and a decent geuze selection. Worth a stop if you’e anywhere near Leuven. | | BigMomma (11), Leuven, Belgium | | February 6, 2010 The outside of the store tells you that you are at a heaven of beer. The inside is really cosy and is well ordered. The service is good and very helpfull. The selection is very great with a lot of trappist beers, regional brews, lambics, famous microbrewery’s like Struise, Dolle and Alvinne. There are also some small treasures like Cantillon Geuze Lou Pepe and Alvinne Podge Bourgogne barrel oak aged. The prices are really good.
This is the best beershop near Leuven! | | Tim Webb (106), Cambridge, England | | August 8, 2009 One of the best beer warehouses in Belgium. Getting used to English-speaking foreigners finding them against the odds. |
