64 Fairly large bar/restaurant placed in a village aprox. 80 km’s SW of Budapest. Traditional wooden interior and stuffed with fishing and hunting trophies, all sorts of antiques and memorabilia. Definitely a place for the locals to drop by for a gullash and gossip. We ate at the restaurant, and everything was fresh and dirt cheap. Beer selection is mainly from the village brewery - Zámolyi sör - tucked away in the courtyard behind the restaurant. Only two draught beers, a Pale Lager/Sör and a Barna/Dunkel. The rest of the selection is bottled beers from the brewery, which sums up to nine rather simple yet very fresh beers. Beers can also be purchased in 1 litre bottles at the brewery for close to nothing. A nice, rural experience after roaring Budapest. |
42 Just one brew, traditional Hungarian lager. Nothing special. |
