A nice little brown bar in the center of Zwolle. Pleasant location on the main square, probably the best beer selection in the city. Most of the same, but tends to have at least one or two surprises. Visited in 2016.

Visited on a Wednesday afternoon shortly after opening so the place was fairly quiet. It’s a small dark bar on the main square a varied but not huge bottle selection and also some varied taps that even offered up a tick each for a couple of hardened tickers. Pretty much all Dutch and Belgian, but a little more than just the obvious.

Much more interesting bottles and taps than the Belgian Keizer. It has a mix of Belgian and Dutch beers. Some beers from Ij and Maximus. Probably the best choice of beer in Zwolle.

Great beer selection. They had cool blues music playing. It wasn’t busy when we were there, so the bartender brought us a book with aerial photos of the town and showed us how it progressed through time. This is the best place to enjoy a beer in Zwolle. Highly recommended.

Been there on a warm autumn afternoon. Didn’t went inside but sat just on the terrace close in front of the church. Atmosphere is okay, selection is okay.

Located in the old city centre of Zwolle. Nice selection of mostly Belgian and Dutch craft beers. Owners are very enthusiastic and fairly knowledgeable about the beer they serve. (However, when I asked them about US beers I was a bit disappointed to find out that they have no clue at all about the merits of US craft beer. Very ironic, since they are such supporters of US-inspired breweries such as ’t IJ and Maximus)
