RateBeer Brew Tour Guide's Comments
All of BJ’s standard brews, plus some great seasonals (the imperial IPA is a must try). They also carry a good selection of Belgians, some quite rare. The first Wednesday of the month is Beer Appreciation Night – an extensive sampling of great beers in a particular style.

i’d hate to be the one paying the AC in this place... huge cavernous building with a typical corporate layout and design. lots of youth and families due to the proximity of the mall. food is decent enough though corporate and heartless. ten beers on tap and apparently guest taps as well. their beer is pretty mediocre. some were seriously flawed. great root beer though!

Great beer but I’ve had some nightmare situations with the food and service. Sit at the bar if you can

Although located at the mall it is a pretty nice brewpub. They have a good selection of their beer and usually some others to choose from on tap. The food was excellent and service was what I expected. The bartender did know his beer.

It took us awhile to find the place but after that we enjoyed the food and the beer. Some are especially excellent - such as the Nit Wit. They had about 8 to 10 beers on tap the day we were there.

i like bj’s. the pizza is pretty solid and the beers are okay. some of the specialty ones are my fave. i havent had the imperial ipa yet. their regular line up seems a bit extracty to me. a good place to take the entire family though, with beer.

Had to knock the ambiance because they are located at the mall. Its just too chain-ish for me. The service was average (can’t comment because I didn’t go to the bar, only meal with the family). Their beers are decent to good, and thier selection was suprising. Root beer is excellent.

The beer usually very good, just watch out for the service and the food. Hope the new one in Mesa is better.

i was very impressed with this place as i was with the other location i have been to. the waitstaff were very friendly and were pretty knowledgable of beer. good belgian bottle selection and some guest taps (arrogant bastard). the beer was pretty good, but not great. the tatonka stout is solid as ever. good atmosphere for being just outside a mall. i would take a date to this place easy

Even though it is a part of a big chain this location is very good. In addition to the mainstream beers that they need to make for the masses they usually have at least one beer that is a little stronger or more hoppy. Decent selection of Belgian imports also. Nice big television to watch games on. More knowledgeable service at the bar than at a table. They have occasional beer appreciation nights that are great.
