Great place in Tempe to sit out on the patio and enjoy the fine Arizona weather while drinking some good beers. The ‘older’ college crowd hangs out here, lots of grad students and faculty. The food isn’t bad, either.

They seem to be trying to upgrade the place into more of a sportsbar with all of the TVs that have been installed, but it doesn’t seem to take away from the relaxed atmosphere. Great taps and food with prompt service. They tend to keep the doors open instead of paying for A/C, but after you’ve had a few beers you’ll stop complaining.

One of my favorite places in Tempe. The service is always friendly and the food is always good. Most importantly, the beer is always great. My only gripe, not at fault of the place, but once the temperature gets above 85, the misters do nothing to cool the patio. Regardless, I recommend this place to anyone visiting Tempe.

Four Peaks is one of the finest brew pubs I have been to. I can think of very few that have both Good food and great beer. I am really impressed with their Hefe. In my opinion it is one of the best American Hefes around. I could also drink my body weight in SunBru, quite possibly the best session beer I’ve had. It is one of the few places with a large (collage)crowd that doesn’t bother me. I was a bit disappointed the last time I was there due to the fact that they allow smoking on the patio. I would prefer to eat pizza and drink a good beer without adding yet more pollution into my lungs.

After 9 days in the desert, I wasn’t sure if it was a mirage. I know this sounds like the delusional ramblings of a desperately thirsty beer lover trapped in a barren and beerless desert hell (aka Phoenix), but I swear that a beautiful maiden brought me golden pitchers of cold ale to wet my dusty palate and heaping plates of delicious food to fill my empty belly. Curse you and bless you all at once, you Sun Devilish temptress of fermented goodness! Drink the heavenly ales, I did. Eat the divine offerings, I did. Then I was carried away on the glimmering wings of a great bird. When I awoke, I was home in Seattle. Maybe it was just a dream.

A good stop for both food and beer in Phoenix, a city that seems to have plenty of sound beer stops, as I find a new one each time I pass through there. Food here was good, the service friendly and quick (in the middle of the day around lunch time). The beer selection was pretty big, maybe 10 taps or so. Looked like a great place to stop and watch football, especially if you’re a Vikings fan. Atmosphere wasn’t family-like, although I’m sure a family outing would work out here.

Very nice place. I road over from a resort in S. Phoenix on a bike (making the brewpub a destination). Well worth a visit. The cask conditioned ale on tap was a stout which sounded a bit heavy for a ride in the sun so I had a couple of ales and a burger. If you’re around on a nice day, it’s worth a visit.

Located in a really cool converted warehouse in north Tempe. Easy to get to but hard to park (try in back- kinda secret!). They usually have 7-8 of their beers on tap and their food is fantastic. Its set up as a sports bar, but they also have a nice patio.

I think this place is a damn good time. They keep order better than the ACME roadhouse, the food is better than the YardHouse, and the ambiance is the best in the metro area. They only pump their own brews, but like Karl Strauss, I don’t think it matters. I have always liked coming here, even since graduation. A Tempe institution for good reason.

Pretty big place with lots of bar seating as well as tables for food. Only had time to sample a couple native beers, but liked what I tried. Food was pretty good as well, I’d definitely go back if I’m ever in town.

Great local atmosphere feel. You can tell you’re in a warehouse but it is cool. Beers are always fresh, especially the small batch seasonals which are often superior to the regular lineup. Food is above average. Pretzels with Hefe are highly recommended.
