Chain restaurant and brew pub located in a strip mall south of the center of Tempe. They had 8 of their own beers, which were good, and a few uninspiring visitor taps. Service was excellent, but the place was pretty empty. I didn’t eat, but the beers were definitely worth a try.

Interesting decor. Many TV on sports channels. Sickeningly sweet aroma of boiling wort permeated the whole place. Had a sirloin steak that was over cooked although tasty. Service was slow and the young waiter botched the beer order (and the beers were below par). Should have gone to Four Peaks instead. If you are in Tempe, Rustlers Rooste is the place to eat (comparable to Pinnacle Peak), but the only decent beer they have is SNPA.

I arrived here on a Thursday afternoon at about 2pm. Had to wait a few minutes for a beer menu, which I expected given the day and time. I ordered a "3 beer sampler" for which they charged $4 for. Well, they didn’t have 2 of the 3 beers that I wanted for the sample platter. Well, when I got the sampler platter, the beers were in 2oz small glasses barely bigger than a shot glass. I was astonished that this was the sample platter that they were charging me $4 for. I didn’t say a word--just figured that’s how things are done. In the end, they didn’t charge me for these miniscule samples, thankfully. I just wish there wasn’t the ambiguity. I thought the beers were very hit and miss. They had some pretzels on the bar, but I did not order any food. The ambiance was pretty cool, especially with the skylights. Service was decent, but the beers need some serious help.

Our waiter brought my beer right away but was a little slow taking our food order (not good as we were really hungry). The food was very good. We had the nachos and pizza. The waiter was able to answer all questions asked about their beers. It’s a nice place to go. A good family place too. I would definitely go there again.

Upon entering the Streets of New York you find yourself walking down a welcoming bumpy path made of inlaid clay bricks that lead you to the dining area. There are elaborate street lamps throughout that add to the already outdoorsy feel of the place. There are many hanging and draping plants, as well as, a large screen t.v. in the center. On either end of the dining room are numerous, large brewing tanks. If you so choose, you can eat out on the patio which overlooks a duck pond with flowing fountain . The patio is fully shaded and equipped with an ample misting system, necessary for Summer Arizona outdoor dining. My wife ordered some nachos from the "appetizer" menu for us to share and I ordered the beer sampler tray. The beer samples came in mini-lager glasses, which equals about two sizeable gulps each. It turned out the nachos came on a large platter and there was more than enough for both of us to fill up on. I must say, they were the best nachos either of us had ever had. The salsa was incredible and the black bean tortilla chips, as well as the fresh guacamole, were awesome. I also ordered a pint of IPA and the total of our bill was only $16.30. Great atmosphere, great price, great meal.

aka Uptown Brewery. Excellent beers. Maybe a bit pricey.
