Easily the best brewpub/taphouse in Adelaide. A great selection of local, interstate and overseas beers on tap (as well as an extensive bottle list) and since June this year, a range of brews made on the premises. The pub has a number of different spaces both indoors and out, some with lounge chairs, others with tables, so something to suit everyone. They donít have food, but the deli across the road has takeaway pizzas which you are welcome to bring back to the pub. All in all its the sort of pub Iíd love to have as my local!

Made a trip here today as the first go to pub via trap and hoof on a very hot day. Quite warm inside too, but worth it. Great selection of Oz beers in general n locals in particular, plus choice imports. Staff is super friendly yet laid back and helpful/knowledgeable. Had some cheese n crackers- tasty! Fair prices. Friendly customers. Pool table. Going to try to return..

Great atmosphere, unpretentious country pub with only craft beers on tap. domestic and international. Glass Hop back vessel attached to the bar top with various favorites flowing. Pool table, darts board, lounge room, band playing on sat night.

Great place to sit back and relax in the afternoon. Live music in the evenings. No food but there is a great place that has take away pizzas across the road(The Deli.) Good tap and bottle list.

No wonder The Wheaty recently won the best beer pub in the country. Jade and the team deserve every accolade for trail blazing and setting the standard globablly. Go girls!

Went there early in the day mid week by myself killing sometime. So Iím sure the experience would be even better with a group of mates, Friday or Saturday with some live music or a beer event! Was awesome chilling out sampling a variety of beers with not bad seville for a afternoon. Will be back next time in Adelaide hopefully on a weekend.

An amazing selection of tap beers that is constantly changing, the addition of the hopinator creates some interesting variations of popular brews. Without a doubt Adelaideís best pub for a quality beer.

On a recent trip to AU, I made my family go to the Wheatsheaf after running around the city for a while. Be aware, this is not in the city really and is a little off the beaten path but I found it to be pretty sweet. Very much has the feel of a "local" bar. Decent tap selection for Australia but has a pretty extensive bottle menu. It is pricey though, I paid about $12 for my draft and about $40 for a bottle of Cantillon Fou Foune to go. No food available which kinda sucked but apparently they have plans to add a small kitchen. I would go back here for sure if I was in the city. *** My score probably seems a little harsh but being from the states where we seem to be pretty spoiled with great beer bars, this to me is a fair rating. Like I said, I would not hesitate going here again.

An old renovated pub near the CBD in Adelaide. Very basic in a lot of ways and very grungy feel to it. Not a lot of furniture and last visit the beer garden was finished. Might be hell to be in there during summer. Service is flat out outstanding. Staff are trained well and know their beers and how to talk to people about beers. Top notch. bottled beers there are a bit expensive for Adelaide pricing but a great selection. 8 wired, rogue, Lobenthal, Brewboys and to top it off take away beer. Took home an Epic Oak Aged Stout. One of the best venues in Australia for beer. They are serious about their beer there and show it. Very basic pub but it is the content that matters.

The strangest bar I have ever been to. It is out in the light industrial part of town and looks like an old workers pub. Unlike most of these old suburban pubs it has not been modernised and had pokies installed. Still old wooden floor boards and white walls. Furniture is a bit spartan and along with the no kitchen, I am left with the impression that the management are still in the process of building up the the place. However the beer is amazing. I walked in and of the dozen or so beers on tap I have had about 2 or 3. One tap is rigged so that the beer can pass through fruits and things. Living in Adelaide my unit of measure is Coopers Pale Ale, in a terrible bar this is the best thing on tap. At the Wheatsheaf this was the worst beer there. The bar tender knew his stuff and left me feeling inadequate in my beer knowledge. Outback in the beer garden an Irish folk group were practising and apparently they have ukulele nights there on Tuesdays, I am going to check that out at some stage. Best beer pub I have found in Adelaide.***Update: Coopers Pale Ale has been kicked off the taps. A bar too good for Coopers? Yep.
