In short, great beer, nice brewery behind the bar.....but ordinary food, poor service and poor seating ambience. Also subject to some awful liquor licensing restrictions.

Nice palace. Had a few rounds here after playing super gold next door. Decent enough beer, nice atmosphere and good service. Very popular place !

This place is near where I am staying right now along a road that features a number of small breweries. I went on a Thursday night, so it was pretty quiet. There were 3 or 4 seasonals on tap, along with their regular offerings. Staff were friendly, and I didnít try talking beer with them, so not sure how much they knew. Pretty good feel to the place, and one of the two beers I ordered was a real winner (with another that I took a sip of seeming quite nice). Prices seemed a bit high, but since it is the first brewpub that I have been to over here, I canít say how it compares to others. Food looked good, but I didnít try any. Iím sure Iíll be back, so I will re-rate it later on.

Visited here on our return trip to Perth. The place had just opened when we left in 2006. Cool giant horizontal pine tree for the kids to climb on just outside the front door. Inside is very open, almost an arena feel to it. Long rough-cut wood tables line the wall opposite the bar, the rest are tables scattered all about. Table service only (you cannot just order from the bar). Beers were okay, didnít try the food. Wait staff seemed very harried and a little disorganized. I had three different servers, but all were very nice. Only the bartender had any real beer knowledge.

Third visit here and actually stayed for lunch this time, the menu is fairly simple but the food was good. The beer list was the same, simple, but give it a try anyway, now they need to get serious and make "just great beer".

Lazily wasted away a very, very pleasant Sunday here. Found it, a mere 5 weeks after opening, to be jam-packed with a very lively and friendly, open minded crowd that gave a sociable, relaxing ambiance to the place. The modern, spacious, almost industrial looking brewhouse is crowned by the bar which delivers beer straight from the conditioning tanks. The food was lovely; enjoyed a well selected tappas plate before a generous main dish and I canít fault the service. Have to love the artwork adorning the walls. Donít quite know the notion behind selecting caricatures of political leaders, but the one of Condaleeza Rice is hilarious. Met the brewer, Dan Turley, who freed himself for a moment to sit with us. A rampant home-brewer and formally a part of the now defunct Bullant brewing company, he seems keen on ramping up the brews available possibly leaning towards English Strongís and Belgian Ales. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and the wife even more so. See how this fledgling brewery goes, so far so good!!!
