82 Great old pub in The Rocks, Sydney comprising a number of small rooms (was once three terrace houses), all with a nice ambience. Had about 12 taps on when I visited, all on rotation and descriptions on display above the bar. Each tap is numbered so staff don't necessarily know what each tap pours so best to order by number. Selection was quite good with mostly non-NSW beers. It was busy but not overly crowded so service was good and the staff were friendly. |
70 Cool rambling place with multiple rooms, which gives an interesting ambience. However this is a tourist area and plenty of people here for food which reduces the beer ambience. Twelve taps with mostly beers you don’t often see, but nothing exceptional - IPAs lagers, red ale, stout. Friendly staff and quick service even on a Friday night. Comfortable ambience.

84 Beer selection here was mostly IPA's and pales. Great little patio out back though. Bartender was nice. They had some sports on inside on a few tv's but we hung out on the patio. |

72 Characterful pub in The Rocks, with a number of small rooms. This place acts as the tap for The Rocks Brewery apparently. Around 12 taps on offer, the beer selection was slightly dull on my visit - mostly pales/IPA & the like. The staff were friendly and knew their stuff. |
68 Nice place, old english style pub, several rooms with a wellcoming feeling, feels like visiting a friends house. Great music to, Pink Floyd, Joe Lee Hooker, Stones etc. To bad the service and the beers wasnt that rocking. "Yes we do flight" and then picked up her cellphone, later when ordering dinner she had a long chat with a friend at the bar before turning to me a paying customer. 10 taps, a flight of 5 for 20 dollars, beers average at best. My smoked brisket was great tho. Free and well working wifi. If be any chance ill be back in Sydney ill return and see if i just hit a bad day. |
76 Nice pub in The Rocks, not far from The Australian. The staff know their product well. This pub has a lovely ambience, the kind of place where you sit with a book and a pint and watch the rain fall outside and the day pass you by. Always seems busy but never seems crowded. |
70 Really enjoyed chilling at this place. Feels like a traditional English pub. The interior has many different rooms, so we grabbed our own with a couch. Rocks beers on tap aren’t anything special, but they also have a few guests. You can order a paddle of 5 for $20, standard for Aussie prices. Service was very friendly and helpful. Worth a stop when in the downtown. |
76 Visited on 5th April 2016. It’s a large multi-level pub in the Rocks. It’s got a good range of beer from the Rocks brewery plus guests from Australia and New Zealand. All are available in tasting paddles which we took advantage of.
There’s some nice little rooms and we relaxed in the snug with our beers. Staff were friendly enough. Prices not too bad for a tourist location. Worth a stop if you’re in the Rocks as there’s quite a collection of venues nearby, don’t miss this one! |
76 Another in our craft beer tour of Asia. I know, it started in our back yard. Cool pub. Selection was good for local stuff but not much international stuff that was interesting. |
