| NoiZe (49), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands | | June 21, 2009 Nice selection of brews. Nice food too. It’s an enjoyable stay. | | chicagodri (36), Chicago, Illinois | | February 7, 2009 I walked by this place on the way to the Bridge Tour. They had a 100 bottles and 12+ taps of Australian beer. The food was very good, my wife and I actually went back there again. Very good pizzas and a very nice areas to relax in Sydney. I enjoyed it a lot....if I lived there I would so complete the passport of having 100 different beers. | | nate2g (151), Brisbane, Australia | | November 29, 2008 [ Updated July 10, 2009 ] Worth a look when passing though Sydney, they have a good range of micros on tap and even more available in bottles. The food is good and service is above average. A nice pub to spend a few hours on a Sunday arvo. | | DuffMan (96), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta | | August 24, 2008 We had lunch here on our day-long stopover on our way to Tassie. Great food, terrific selection of Aussie micros, both bottled and draft. Busy, but great service and great vibe. Try the pizza, you can’t go wrong! | | TimE (130), Tokyo, Japan | | December 26, 2007 My favorite Sydney beer hangout. Very chill out, low key place. Very old school feeling to it, located right in the heart of the city. This is simply a must for any beer geek visiting Sydney. Be warned it can get VERY busy on Fridays. Bottle selection is amazing, but note that you can’t buy all the beer in the bottle shop they serve behind the bar (in fact it is ony a fraction of it). Tap selection could be a bit better, but bottle selection for Oz micros in unbeatable anywhere. | | Bhops (34), Dallas, Texas | | September 26, 2007 My first introduction to Little Creatures at this bar. Excellent beer and went great with the chorizo/salami pizza. Pizza was excellent. Good ambiance and friendly service. | | Stew41 (71), Caulfield, Australia | | March 16, 2006 Classic Oz pub with a truck load of kitsch holiday house fitout. Pizza’s are a standout. 8 beers on tap and 50+ by the bottle with a strong committment to local micros. Nice relaxed vibe. Melbourne needs more pubs like this. | | Sully (14), Woolloomooloo, New South Wales, Australia | | December 20, 2005 Technically called the Australian Heritage this pub is to be congratulated for being the first Sydney outlet for the Picton beers. Thee are a couple of pubs that now have this but it is still a rarity. Coupled with the now everpresent Little Creatures on tap it is a great pub for quality beer. The food is also very good with the wood fired pizzas being great, but don’t forget the beef and bock pie in winter. Sport is always on the big screens and the helpstaff are sometimes quite easy on the eye. Sitting outside in summmer is a must even though there is no view to speak of. | | highlandlad (37), Sydney, Australia | | October 4, 2005 One of Sydney’s best beer bars, and a leading cheerleader for the local craft beer scene. The tap beer doesn’t always seem as fresh as it might be but you can’t fault the range. Check out the beer menu for a huge list of Aussie micros. (Bit depressing how few of the beers on the list are any good, but that’s another story....!) Top-notch pizzas and a relaxed atmosphere. | | JoeMcPhee (262), Jackson Heights, New York | | August 11, 2005 Took me a while to find this place on foot, but once I did I quite enjoyed it. The bar manager is definitely a beer fan and he enjoys discussing the Aussie beer scene. Has about 20 taps and loads of bottle, mostly micros. Large outdoor patio section. The bottle shop was also worth checking out. |
