A must for the Alcazar fan visiting Nottingham as there is not only the pub with a great range of their beers but also the excellent bottled beer shop right by the pub. Handy for the tram too.

The Brewery Shop is clean, neat and modernistic. Laminate floor and spotlights: none of the clutter and cardboard boxes of some beer outlets. All the Alcazar beers on sale, plus an interesting if pricey selection of German and Belgian beers. Proprietor was helpful and gave sound advice. 9.7.08 The Shop is now sadly gone. There were 7 Alcazar beers on in the pub. I had 3, none, in my opinion, in the best condition. Thai food was pretty good: we enjoyed Vegetarian Spring Rolls and Chicken Pak Mee.

Unpretentious pub that lets its beer do the talking. This visit saw six regular and two special Alcazar beers on tap, two guests and half a dozen continentals on tap. Full range of their bottled beers on sale too. Easy going on a Sunday lunch (no food). Just a short tram ride from the city centre. Brewery shop just down the road was closed on a Sunday.
