Nicely located by the Beersel church. Went in for lunch with my parents. Very good menu sporting many local dishes and beer inspired food. They had 3 of their beers on tap (hand pump), but sadly the Faro was out. They also carry some Beersel beers and others. Atmosphere is nice, quiet setting, place can sit a big number of people, but there isn’t anyting special about the it. Service was good, both in Flemish and French. I had the home made Paté for starter, shrimp fondue were amazing as well and the Turkey with Gueuze sauce, leek, onions and yogurt sauce with frites. Fair prices for Belgian restaurant. Starter and main dish with a few beers should run you about 30€ a person. Highlight was the outstanding hand pump kriek. Didn’t get to see the store as it was closed.

Very cozy small restaurant with their regular beers avaliable. If you wish to taste the rarer ones hommage, millenium, etc. you have to go around the corner to Lambicodroom. Friendly people and good service.

Has Kriekenlambik, Faro and Lambik on tap as well as the Beersel lineup and a few bottled 3 Fonteinen Lambics. Unfortunately most of the bottled 3 Fonteinen (even some of the more common stuff) isn’t available at the restaurant. I didn’t really eat, just had a good soup, that was served in a pot with a ladle and a small bowl next to eat to serve it into. Service is very good. Nice atmosphere. A couple next to me started talking to me and ended up giving me a ride back to Brussels. A very nice experience.

A must go - if you are in to lambics. Started the visit with a tur to the cellar filled with the golden drops stored in barrels. In the restaurant we had an excellent meal with alot of krieks and guezes in clay-jugs on the table. Remember to buy some of there glasses for next to nothing.

When I arrived I was informed that they were not currently serving cooked food, dinner started at 6pm. I decided to grab a snack and a couple beers then head back to the hotel for a quick snooze before grabbing some dinner. The first beer that I wanted was their Gueuze. After I had ordered it the waitress went to the bar and requested a Gueuze. The barkeep then pulled out the traditional bottle of Lambic lying at a 15-degree angle in a wicker basket. The bottle was carefully opened and poured without disturbing the yeast. This was definitely the best Gueuze I had ever had. For my next beer I decided to try the draft Kriek. It was quite good as well. At this point I went back to the hotel for that exciting nap. Had to recoup for the night ya’know.p I arrived back at Drie Fonteinen around 7pm. The place was a lot more lively than it had been earlier with many a person enjoying the various interpretations of Lambic. The first beer that I decided to try was the Bottled Kriek. It uses the same type of cherries as the draft version (Schaerbeek). The next beer that I tried was the Lambic, it was again far mellower than I was expecting, but was very good. I started out with a shrimp salad accompanied by a Kriek beer vinaigrette. The salad had some surprisingly tasty sprouts that were small, thin and had a great almost aggressive onion flavor to them. I decided to go for broke on the next beer that I ordered, so I ordered the vintage 1995 bottling of the Gueuze, which means that the majority of the beer contained therein was at least 8 years old, if not more. The waitress whisked off to the bar (after making sure that I actually wanted a beer that only came in 750 ml bottles) to request the beer from the bartender. The bartender promptly disappeared down into the cellar. He appeared again a few minutes later reverently holding the bottle at the proper angle (again about 15-degrees). The bottle was carefully put in a basket that maintained the angle properly and brought to me. At this point I was getting giddy with excitement, or was that full day of beer consumption. Either way I was anticipating the sampling of this one. As an accompaniment to the meal that I had (a wonderful salmon filet) it was quite nice, with a hint of an alcoholic finish to it that was brought out by the fish. I ended the night with some chocolate mousse that was a surprisingly good companion to the Gueuze.

I visited early on a Thursday evening, but the restaurant rapidly filled up when a coach party arrived. My rabbit in gueuze was excellent as were the drie fonteinen beers. The service was friendly and the surroundings pleasant. Well worth a visit.

A nice place, medium upscale it feels fancy but relaxed at lunch time. First think I notice is a light note of wood smoke in the air, presumably from the fireplace. Service is friendly and explains some of the menu selections for me, accommodates my request for a half order of cheese croquettes (i.e. one instead of two). Croquette is lovely, but not as gloriously rich as Spinnekopke or Cambrinus. Flemish stew is quite nice and the stew sauce provides a nice dip for the ubiquitous frites. Worth a detour if you have time and want to check out the town, or the brewery. Very nice experience but not a can’t miss stop for me. My 100th place rating!
