Great atmosphere, though pretty cramped. Not a bad place to meet interesting people either. Didn’t eat here, but the selection of beers was fantastic. Service was excellent. An institution and a superb place for a beer and to meet other beer enthusiasts. It’s not the most spacious, but then I find that it only adds to the ambiance and the atmosphere inside. The beer list is not the biggest that you will find in Belgium, but the beers on the list are mostly very good quality. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. When you step through the door it’s like stepping back in time. It is a very small quaint old pub. The walls are covered in old beer posters for mostly rare Belgian beers. When I was there, there were more Americans than Belgians drinking there but more Belgians arrived later. The beer menu is in a binder and it about 1" thick separated by region and partly by style. It was the first bar we went to after arriving in Belgium so the selection seemed immense immediately and still seems great in retrospect. Cosy with a nice atmosphere. Signs and stuff on the walls that gives it a nice touch. The foot was somewhat Ok..not impressive. But the beerlist was long and nice.
