They knows what is good! Incontournable! | | BarKeeper (11), Brussels, Belgium | | July 27, 2009 Who says I like this place ? :)
Well,
staff got a formation on beer made by brewers, they can find a beer with the description of the taste or of the label of the bottle. They pour right the beers on tap. They pour the beer bottle in front of you.
The selection is just amazing. They don’t have anything, but they don’t have crap beer ! Nothing industrial, nothing made with the wrong spirit.
Food is only cheeses plate, but only traditionnals belgian cheeses unpasteurized. This is not (yet) in the downtown but you should go there ! | | Beerit (13), Milano, Italy | | May 15, 2009 One of the best bar in Belgium, full of young costumers. The future is here! | kaelan (1), Brussels, Belgium does not count - explanation | | January 21, 2009 best bar in Brussels. barmen are really professional & can explain you many beer stuff | cillia (2), , Belgium does not count - explanation | | December 30, 2008 There is a selection of quality beers and cheeses. Excel service and advice.
Very good ambiences. | | Dedollewaitor (75), Odense, Denmark | | December 27, 2008 Very little place 3km outside of central Brussels. More than 300 Belgium beers in the menu. Cantillon Faro on tap. Friendly service. I had De cam oude Lambiek & Glazen Touren saison d merpe. Very nice. Downside is that it is crowded in the weekends and that is extremely smokey. Hard to breathe in there. | | ggaughan (11), Philadelphia, Luxembourg | | September 20, 2008
I visited here with my wife on a recent trip to Brugge. We came by one night after dinner for a few drinks and we also came back on our last day for brunch.
We sat at the bar the first night and got a great view of the bottles in the cold cases behind the bar and I quickly got one of their huge menus. Although the draft selection was not that extensive, the bottles certainly were and it was very well organized. I started with a Liefman’s Goudenband and my wife had a Gouden Christmas. At with many bars in Belgium they had the proper glassware for our order and they even gave us a nice cup of a mixed nut thing. I noticed that they had Westvleteren, I believe 12 and Blonde. I didn’t try one as I had a few at home and wanted to leave them for others.
I found that the prices were reasonable and the bottle selection was extensive enough to keep you busy for awhile.
We had brunch here one day as well and really enjoyed it. I had a Flemish onion soup and a cheese plate and my wife had a pannini that was very tasty as well. It looked like the menu had some very good and reasonable food for dinner as well so we will try that on our return trip.
| | DSG (41), Tel Aviv, Israel | | August 19, 2008 I was almost the only customer at the time I was there, maybe that’s why the young bartender allowed himself to play music that isn’t very typical for a traditional Belgian bar: Primus. I enjoyed it anyway. A good beer list, very strong on Lambics. Cantillon on tap is also very nice. I asked for 3F Hommage (the only place I’ve seen it listed in Belgium) which was priced 25E. The bartender scrolled around the cellar for 15 mins until he came out empty. Ended up having a Cantillon Lambik and Cantillon Bruocsella 1900 Grand Cru . A very nice place. |
