An interesting alternative (pun intended) when in Belgium’s N° 1 university city. As the name says, it is the archetypal alternative place, so don’t expect anything else: if you want foie gras with your beer, seek elsewhere. Concerning the beers, however, you could do (much) worse: the list is being kept by the icons of the local beerbranch, LBT, and they’re doing a pretty good job. The people in the pub are genuinely interested. If you are interested in other interesting things, this is the place. Very nice garden in the backyard, a heaven of peace in this busy shopping street.
