I came for Petite Orval, and got Petite Orval, and its in a lovely spot right by the abbey. On a summers day this place is excellent. I wasnt able to get Petite Orval to go, but understandable. We had eaten so didnt try the food although I hear it is excellent

Nice little place up from the monistary Orval. They serve the Petit Orval and have a nice home made food list. Rustic wood tables and stools with brewery decore. Service was prompt. Well worth the stop if your in that area.

Visit last saterday 02.08.08. Off corse we drank the Petit Orval here. Good place. We taste their lasagne maded with the Orval Cheese.

Visited in summer 2004. Great little place to sit and have the Petit Orval, some sausages and cheese with celery salt, and read a book for a while. Within walking distance to the abbey.

Had the requisite Petit Orval. Cool old tavern with a nice atmosphere. The service was quick enough even though the place was packed to the gills. Snacks include ham, nice bread, Orval cheese, and various combinations thereof.

And excellent tavern, full when we were there and though we didn’t eat, the food looked good. And the abbey 200m away is well worth the visit.

Drank the Petit Orval here. Nice place, but the Abbey is the real attraction i would say. Staff was kind of slow over here, although the last month of june is not really crowdy to say the least. Selection, well they have the petit Orval and the normal Orval, so that’s good. Furthermore, selection is as usual in Belgium i presume. So, i give the most points for overall, cause it includes my visit to one of the most beautiful abbeys in the world.

Great place - wonderful little benches and tables located beautifully next to the abbey. If you are in the area for the Abbey - where you can only visit the ruins but can buy cases for an average price of 1EUR/Bottle - this place is a must. They do serve the Petit Orval too - in the green logo glasses. The food is very good - mostly made with Orval, Orval Cheese and the monk’s Bread. I had a great potatoe gratin with orval cheese and beer. Stuff is really friendly and helpful - though we sucked as we do not speak any French. You can buy the Orval cheese here too. I would love to come back and do a long hiking tour after which I would go into the Ange Gardien.
