A decent restaurant with a quality beer list off the beaten track between Gent and Brussels. Feels like an unloved small-town cafe. Careful attention to the beers. Owner is a microbrewer who’s begun contracting his Uitzet beers to Van Steenberge. Mostly beers from East and West Flanders, plus gueuzes from Boon, Cantillon, Girardin and Hanssens. Good prices on the grub my shrimp croquettes were a letdown, but the croque madame was tasty and cheap. American oldies on the radio. Friendly enough service.
