mcberko (9), British Columbia does not count - explanation | | November 28, 2009 Best beer selection in Vancouver - nearly 500 titles and more reasonably priced than Brewery Creek. Really well set-up, featuring premiere beers from all around the world. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Will be coming back here soon. | | JoeMcPhee (262), Jackson Heights, New York | | May 20, 2009 Nice large store with a brightly lit area in front that mostly features wines (although spirits are coming shortly) with a large walk-in cooler that houses the beer and cider. They have a unique way of laying out the products that is geared towards helping people pick out styles of beer rather than having them organized by brewer. For a geek like me, this is somewhat annoying as I tend to shop by brewer to find things that I want/haven’t had, but I can see it working for someone just getting initiated. The staff are pretty helpful and quite knowledgeable, which is always a plus. A solid addition to the Vancouver beer scene. | | DuffMan (96), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta | | September 9, 2008 Nice store, well organized layout for wines and a large well organized walk-in cooler for beers. Good local selection (all Mission Springs stuff was here, all Buckerfield’s) and some nice imports too (Budel’s variety 8-pack). Quite a number of single bottles too. | | Oakes (421), gone rambling, Vietnam | | November 27, 2007 New store, bright wine section and the beer section is almost entirely in a walk-in fridge. They carry a healthy range of brews right now, rivalling but slightly different to that of the nearby Lennox store. Their website at present mainly lists breweries so doesn’t give a very good indicator of what they actually carry. They have an interesting take selling wine and beer, though. This is a store I think will be worth watching. Last store I said that about was Brewery Creek.
It’s a bit tough to access given the state of construction outside - I just parked in a no parking zone with my blinkers on. |
