| rayOfBeer (13), El Cerrito, California | | July 30, 2008 It’s a great produce and organic grocery store with decent prices for what they carry. As was said before, their beer selection is better than the average with several hard to find beers included. One nice feature of buying beer here is that buying a single is the same as 1/6 of their six pack price. The crowds at times can be daunting and pushy, but good beer makes up for a lot. | | Taverner (49), San Ramon, California | | February 27, 2008 Grocery store that has a great seleciton of food, including farmers market fresh produce. The beer selection is OK - about the same as Whole Foods. Of course, I am spoiled. | | Davecooks (43), Bay Area, California | | February 4, 2008 One of the best places to shop for food (produce mostly) in the Bay Area. The Beer and Wine selection is much-better-than-average as well. | | bhensonb (244), Woodland, California | | November 6, 2007 I’d say Ledger’s and Monument have much wider selections. However, this place has odd items, and often before others. Today I got Cochonnette. If you are in Berkeley score this one behind Ledger’s and even or better with Whole Foods. And it does have parking! | | Aquilo (12), California | | July 9, 2006 Besides being the best place in the East Bay to buy produce (other than a farmer’s market,) Berkeley Bowl also has one of the better beer selections. The beer isle is small, but somehow they pack a lot in there. Well worth a look if you’re in the area. |
