About 40 to 45 minutes from downtown San Diego. Good selection of beers, although not as good as the solana beach location, and great pizza. Lots of TV’s and loud people. Great place to visit if your up in north county.

| sealfriend (12), , New Mexico | | September 30, 2008 My favorite place to watch people drink beer. In the middle of the (large) room, the tables are long wooden benches, reminiscent of a picnic...bordered by booths on the side.
The pizza is good...the beer bites (seasoned bite-size pieces of pizza crust) are great.
Coke products.
| kflorence (3), San Diego, California does not count | | September 15, 2008 This was a great find for me. Huge spacious interior filled with large wooden tables and lots of people. They had a pretty wide selection of beer on draft, many of which were their own brews. The pizza was good, but not great, but overall the place had a really great atmosphere. Very pleasant and a nice place to kick back, eat pizza and drink some beer. | | hopscotch (135), Vero Beach, Florida | | September 13, 2008 A big cavern of a pizzeria. Indoor and outdoor picnic tables that were totally full. A terrific beer bar with tons of house brewed stuff and guest beers. The bartenders were two tattooed hotties that were practically twins and very attentive. As always, the pizza was fantastic and the surrounding area is on par with Vero Beach! Very laid back. Many of the patrons arrived on skateboards. Terrific pizzeria/brewery in a quaint beach town. Hard to beat! | | Beese (50), Watford, England | | September 6, 2008 Loved the Pizza Port, great pizza, great beer and a very unpretentious attitude. The beer selection was really good, a great mix of their house beers, other Port brews and guest taps. Good prices in general, but even cheaper during happy hour. Really friendly service, generally very quick, fully recomended place and the bottle shop next door is the icing on the cake! | | Lt_Dan (15), Greater Los Angeles Area, California | | September 1, 2008 A great place to throw back with friends, however I see many soccor parents taking there kids here for a slice of pizza, while they enjoy a pitcher of dank beer. The beer selection is fantastic, the big wooden benches are inviting, the bartender is always nice and patient. Also, if you are there for the Strong Ale Festival, they make the best pizza ever, Fest Pizza (Brautwurst concoction). | | jsh12bama (12), Alabama | | August 23, 2008 Bigger sitting area than I expected. Tons of beers on tap. Lots of house brews and numerous guest taps. Was disappointed 2 of the house IPA’s were out. But overall draft list is great. Had sampler and a Pliney. Bottle shop closed when I was there. Will definitely be back. Like it better than Solana Beach. | | DA (112), Portland, Oregon City, Oregon | | August 18, 2008 Fairly good size place, but gets really crowded. Lots of families with kids running around, so try not to trip on them. The pizza was delicious and the beers were good. They had a nice 14 beer sampler and about a dozen other beers on tap. The bottle shop has a great selection right next door and the staff was very friendly for the RBSG bottle tasting. | | illinismitty (200), Nashville, Tennessee | | August 12, 2008 Had dinner here on my RBSG trip. The inside is open with a CA beachy vibe. Picnic table seating, with the bar area separated by a low partition wall. Weekend nights are crowded and VERY loud, as it seems to be favorite for locals and families. The pizza is good and the tap list should please anyone looking for GOOD regional offerings, in addition to the Pizza Port beers. Patio seating is also available, and they have a very nice bottle shop next door. Worth a visit. | | mgumby10 (45), West Palm Beach, Florida | | August 10, 2008 Out here for RBSG 2008. We had our geand tasting here, but I went a few days before to enjoy the scene, and their beers. Great little atmosphere, bar was real easy to get beers at. Pizza was pretty good. Had a bunch of good stuff on draft that I hadnt had before. Had plenty of seating and had patio seating. Great beer bar fo sure. | | AgentSteve (43), SF Bay Area, California | | August 5, 2008 Pizza was really good. Bottle shop was expansive. Atmosphere, (when I wasn’t in the back in the makeshift event area for the Grand Tasting at the RBSG) inside was pretty cool. | View Page : 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
