| bhensonb (375), Woodland, California | | June 9, 2008 [ Updated July 10, 2008 ] Lament the sadly departed. For awhile it was a good place for USA-Mex style food. Then it developed a popular menu. Then the beer menu decreased. Then it was gone. Update: As of 07/01/08 it is really gone the building was demoed right down to the ground. | | DYCSoccer17 (244), Woodland, California | | August 12, 2006 I visited this place a couple of times while visiting. The building is extremely large and very spacious. I felt like I was walking into a church. On your right is a pool table and then the bar, after about a 75 foot walk. Behind the bar is a huge floor with many tables. Spacious like a gymnasium. They had 44 beers on tap, and I am uncertain if they had any in bottles. Many of these beers are pretty widely distributed micros, with some macros and a couple of local micros. All in all, nothing horrifically special. A point of note is that they charge the same price for all of their beers, whether it be PBR or Old Rasputin. Service was good and the bartenders were fairly knowledgeable. I had a turkey burger with chili on it. It was pretty tasty, Fries were very average. I returned on a Tuesday night and they had a group of about 50 college kids there doing karaoke. I imagine this place gets more crowded while school is in session. | grant (4), Colorado Springs, Colorado does not count - explanation | | August 24, 2005 Decent selection of West Coast micros. Sometimes there are freshness issues with some of the big beers (e.g. Old Foghorn). I’m guessing it’s owing to problems with the beer lines. Food is acceptable, brewpub type fare, nothing special. | frankR (1), Davis, California does not count - explanation | | January 22, 2005 Lots of brews on tap. Don’t come for the food though. |
