May 16, 2008 I stopped in here while a friend was in class down the street. There is a generic brewpub/chain restaurant ambience. I ordered the sampler - beers were OK but nothing special. My salad was OK but the greens could have been fresher. |

June 17, 2007 The pizza is decent. The service is a little above average. Nothing particularly interesting to report about this place. Pretty much seems like the chain restaurant and brewery that it is. The beer is not that great. |

March 27, 2007 Good pizza and decent microbrewery. Has a constant selection of 6-7 beers plus 1-2 seasonals. Their stout is very good, as are most of their seasonals. A lot like Rock Bottom, but better pizza.
I go here with my wife before seeing a movie across the street. |

April 13, 2006 Small corner restaurant in the middle of a big strip mall. There’s a Whole Foods in said stripmall as well, so you can go check out some bottles while you wait, becuase there certainly was a wait. Inside is very geometric shaped. Just completely square with tables everywhere and BJ’s stuff on the wall. Not much decor and very load. Lots of metros running around the place, but there’s always some fine tail accompanied with them. They had the standard BJs taps plus an IPA. They get their stuff from the La Brea BJs. Typical BJs food. Good pizza. They shouldn’t call it chicago style. Deep dish style maybe, but not chicago. Deep dish and Chicago style are not synonymous. Decent service. Not really worth visiting, even if you’re a local and in the area. There’s better BJs than this one all over the place. |

July 3, 2005 Typical chain. Mediocre food and beer. Do yourself a favor and drive another 20 minutes North to Pizza Port Solana Beach if you want great pizza and beer. If you want good service though, go to BJ’s or Rock Bottom. |

November 30, 2004 Ordered their sampler which consisted of 7 beers. Food was OK and the service above average. Busy for a Monday Night but that is OK when you have a kid that is not cooperating... |

July 23, 2004 I don’t know how many times I drove by Bj’s on my way to BevMo, but I always seemed to pass them up. Well, besides a quick stop in while Christmas shopping, I stopped in for a few beers the other day. The atmosphere is that of any typical chain restaurant out there, nothing special. The quality of the beer average at best and the service was nothing out of the ordinary. Actually, I was quite annoyed when the first thing out of the waitresses mouth was, &quo;can I get you a Blonde or a Red?&quo; I felt like saying &quo;sure and while your at it get me a brunette as well.&quo; The funny thing is I probably still would have gotten beer since their brown ale is called Nutty Brewnette. Anyway, the most impressive thing about the place was the selection, not that it was great, but they had at least 10 of their own stuff on tap. |

February 27, 2004 BJ's definitely is a good place to hang out with the friends and sample a couple hand crafted beers, but man can that place get loud..I dont care what the noise level below this post says. The TV's are a definite bonus, but the menu of beers can be weak at times. The food is good, the service is mediocre at best. Its fun watching the waitresses trying to describe the beers....its a riot! Its good for the food though... |
