First time to this location. I’ve been to the Columbia Street location going back to 1990. This one is smaller and “L” shaped on the inside with a bit of patio seating up against the street outside. The wait staff seemed somewhat in different but not at all rude or otherwise. I need to get back here and try more of the food. Typical Karl beer here. I’m glad to see them branching out and making bolder beer styles (IIPA, IS, BW) before the craft beer industry leaves them behind.

Great location in a trendy area.Parking was difficult. Nice inside, great service. The appetizers were tasty, as was the beer. A nice oasis in the over the top neighborhood.

You need good luck to find parking. The food and service were average. The regular beer line up wasn’t anything special, but some of their seasonal/special brews were pretty good. I will probably stop in again.

Great location in the center of downtown La Jolla. Unlike the La Jolla Brew House, this place is in a very nice building. This likely reflects the larger cash reserves of a chain restaurant. I did think their beer was better than LJBH as well, though. Food was excellent for a brewpub and the service was very good. 10 house beer on tap the day I visited.

Cool looking building in some part of downtown La Jolla that I don’t know what it’s called. All I know is that I passed a store that was selling a basic shirt for $350. Gulp, I hope they don’t find out the intruder. Anyways, inside is nice, as expected at these chain brewpubs. Nice and visable brewpub equipment. About 10 taps on at the time of visiting, most of which are snorable. A couple decent beers. The food was actually really good. I had a Steak and Avacado roll that was money and an El Fuego Jalapeno burger that was also nice. The fries blew, but I’m REALLY picky about fries. Prices were a bit high, but as I said before, I expected that. Pretty nice place to hang out actually.
