66 I like Bo’s BBQ |
70 Nice little place in downtown Lafayette. It has a homey feel to it with tables and couches in the back. (I assume for enjoying the beer) The barbeque is absolutely fantastic. Best brisket in the Bay Area, no question. Prices are a liittle steep, but it’s worth it. They have a small beer fridge by the front counter with lots of Belgians, and some Cali micros. Not quite as good as some previous reviews stated. Maybe things changed a little bit. I still enjoyed a St. Bernardus 12 with my brisket. Can’t beat that! I thought the service was OK, but it was empty when I was there. They have pretty competitive prices on their catering as well. If you’re passing through, definitely check it out. |
70 Nice little place with a patio. Not as cool as it had been described to me. The meat was amazing and the rest of the food was very complementary. The day I was there the beer selection was good not great. Service was pretty poor. |
78 The BBQ is good and they do have a good selection of beers. There are not a lot if any good BBQ places in the bay area. If you like the BBQ here, then take a vacation to Texas and taste some great BBQ. |
80 Fairly small place with some outside seating as well. Food and beer is ordered at the counter with a line of beer coolers along the right hand wall. Wow. Excellent selection of west coast brews, Belgians and international. I had an Arrogant Bastard (a real treat for a Floridian) and then I splurged and bought a bottle of Thomas Hardy’s 2004. Yep, I see vintage stuff too. And the food. There may be no finer bbq anywhere. I know people that have arranged their life around this establishment. They also have traveling musicians that finish up a show in the City and then head here to play at Bo’s for some free grub and to the delight of the patrons. |
90 Best BBQ in The Bay! One of the best selections of beer anywhere. Pick a night when they have a blues band for something really special. Go in, pick a bottle out of the cooler, get a plate of food and spend some time talking with Bo he’s a great guy. Everyone gets a hug on the way out. |
68 Great selection of Belgians, great selection Sensimile! |
74 This place has been ranked by the San Francisco Chronicle as one of the top 100 restaurants in the Bay Area for the last few years. The food is good. But the choice for beer is even better. It’s the best selection I’ve seen in and restaurant. The coolers are against the wall and you just grab what you want. All the trappists, Cantillion and other lambics, imperial stouts - just a great choice for Belgians and good micros. |
