The shop/restaurant had a decent vibe to it. The servers didn’t know much about their "Good Microbrew" Not as timid as yelp.com makes them out to be. The selection was pretty crap, but I guess if you are a Coors Light drinker, and are graduating to Widmers Hefe, it is "Good Microbrew". They didn’t have prices or bottle sizes on the menu, and made for a real gamble when ordering. Back to the service, the wait staff never could answer for sure on the size and price. They were selling huge scooners of DFH 90 minute for $4.00, because they had no idea it was a 9% beer. The food was average. The prices on these easy to obtain local, nationwide and imported craft beers were way to high. Perhaps this has charm for those in walking distance. | | ajm (161), Los Angeles, California | | October 22, 2008 Far from the best brewpub in the world, but smashes everything else in LA. The food is not bad, and the beer selection itself is informed, if barely above average. The service and storage may not be very knowledgable but the concept and location are very enthusiastic and ambitious. Keep it up, guys! | | WeeHeavySD (102), San Diego (Hillcrest), California | | September 15, 2008 Went today on a lark, I was in the neighborhood. Decent Atmosphere, way too pricey, chilled glassware which is bad. It was nice they had Lost Coast Tangerine Wheat on tap, sadly also they organize amber beers by color, not necessarily style or brewers. |
