12 reviews for Barclay’s Pub
| joeneugs (19), Livermore, California | | November 1, 2009 Great location, good pub food, nice beer savvy crowd. Pretty good but limited tap selection. The bartender was friendly and helpful. Nice place to stop in close to BART. | | HopheadHans (13), Bay Area, California | | March 4, 2009 I used to go here a lot and still like this place. More like a sports bar atmosphere, but very relaxed. people are typically very friendly, both the patrons and the staff. Beer selection is excellent, about 30 beers on tap with emphasis on Norcal craft beers. The letdown recently has been the food. Multiple times lately have I been really disappointed. They must have had some changeover in that department, bummer. | | fidel (55), Livermore, California | | December 1, 2008 [ Updated December 5, 2008 ] Nice spot, good food, good selection, good service. Proper glassware. | | AgentSteve (62), SF Bay Area, California | | November 30, 2008 Cool pub atmosphere with a decent tap list. Good food and service | | Nik925 (10), California | | June 3, 2008 [ Updated August 5, 2008 ] My home pub, even though I live an hour away. It is a fantastic place, the food is better than it needs to be for having such a wide variety of beers. The beer club is great, always nice to get prizes for drinking. | | Braudog (479), Dayton, Ohio | | April 15, 2008 April 2008 - Visited with Chris and Meredith from thebeergeek.com. This is where it all started for them. This is a fun neighborhood kinda-Irish pub in the lower level of a corner shopping area. They have a nice selection of rotating taps, leaning heavily towards California brews. The Sunday brunch menu was traditionally pub-y, but quite good. Nice place. | | ChillCoat (43), Concord, California | | February 4, 2008 Great food. Outstanding selection of beers. On any given day the bar is a who’s who of brewers and beer industry folks. | | rayOfBeer (15), El Cerrito, California | | December 13, 2007 This place is great. 30 beers on tap which are constantly changing. Great variety too with something for every palate. The interior has a cozy feel with a great bar area. As for the food, I have only tried the steak sandwich and the steak platter Both were great. This place does get crowded and tables can be hard to obtain around dinner time. I only wish Barclay’s was in my own neigborhood and I would find myself there more often. | | Ibrew2or3 (161), Safety Harbor, Florida | | October 17, 2007 Quaint little place a few blocks from the BART station. A dozen tables and a decent size bar area are the non smoking in door seating options. They have two big flat panel displays for sports viewing. The tap list is nice with 30 offerings including craft selections like Green Flash, E. J. Phair, Hoptown, Moonlight, Speakeasy, Schooner’s, Iron Springs and a few others. The food was pretty much pub grub and tasty. The help is very friendly and not all that beer knowledgeable. Great spot to stop for a bite and a craft brew. | | marcus (91), Sacramento, California | | September 1, 2006 This is a well-designed drinking place, with a long old wood bar, numerous tables and outdoor seating. There are about 30 beers on tap, mostly west coast microbrews, and a few good bottled beers. There is a neighborhood feel to this place and the patrons seem quite friendly. If you’re not looking for Belgian beers and other imports, this is a good place. |
