Visited twice after trips to More Beer.

The first time I visited was interesting for sure. A friend and I were at the bar trying our flight and a visibly drunk guy came up and apologized for the beer and said that there were some ingredients he couldnt get (this was the "hop crisis" of 2008 or 2009 or what ever). I thought that was weird and went back to my sampler. A few minutes later the same guy is telling someone (loudly) that Sierra Nevada "couldnt hold a candle to San Diego brewers." I got into it with him over that.

Service was a bit slow but not bad. The food wasnt all that great (got a sandwich which was really just a slice of pizza rolled up with some extra peperoni on it. Meh. Second stop was just for a quick tick.

Yep. I went here between hearings the other day...111 degrees out, my Gucci shoes did not do my feet justice after the 10 block walk. Blisters galore. In any event, i just came in at around 130pm, had a taster of six beers and left in a hurry so I didnt really experience the place as much as most people probably do. In any event, nothing too wrong with the place itself...service was attentive though there werent many people there. The beer list was gay as most random brewpubs are, the beers themselves were all full of diactyl...but 6 4 oz glasses for $6, i sure as hell aint complaining.

Alas, how the mighty have fallen. A once great brewpub relegated to a bbq joint w/ contract brews. All of the old charm is gone, ho more t-shirts on the ceiling from diff. breweries, no chalk board letting you know whatís on tap. The old119 is no longer brewed, havnít seen the Orange Blossom in awhile either. Full bar now as well, didnít see the need. Trying to be to upscale, kind of alienating the old customers. Used to be good...used to be. SAD

Arrived at 11:30am on Monday, 2/11/08. Prompt seating from an experienced waitress. Order taken relatively quickly and food arrived pretty fast as well. The ambiance is low rent House of Blues. Heck, we even mistook the place at first for a school from the outside due to lack of signage and some grade school style paper cutout hearts pasted on the windows (for Valentineís Day). I had a combo with tri tip and hot links with dirty rice and seasoned fries (well, salt IS a seasoning). My friend had a similar combo with ribs, tri tip, baked beans and mac & cheese. We also ordered peach cobbler for dessert and split it but, since there was no ice cream as the menu indicated, we tried the bread pudding as well. All the food was fairly well exectued with some minor quibbles (tri tip a little chewy/dry though still quite tasty, the aforementioned lack of seasoning on the seasoned fries). The beers were a different story. I had the six beer taster. The waitress got them a little mixed up when she brought them and it took some detective work to figure out the wheat from the IPA - not a good sign. A couple of the beers were a tad better than average for a brewpub and a couple of the beers were downright poor. Overall, not a place I envision ever visiting again, due to its distance from me and my lack of need to ever visit Riverside.

Had six house brews and 6-7 bottle selections. The three house brews I had were the Hefe, Porter and a Winter Ale. None excited my palate. Very middle of the road. I have brewed two simple extract homebrews and I would rate them much higher. Looking into the brewery section looks like a thick dust collection on the top of the fermenting vessels. Minimal appetizer selection and all were in the $9 to $20 range. BBQ is good yet ,again like their beers, not exceptional. BBQ beans were less than warm. Fried corn was not fried. Cornbread never showed. But, the meat was good. (I was eating at the bar though). Go there for the food more than the beer.

The ambiance is a nice improvement from the RBC days. Good blues music. The menu includes meat, meat, and more meat, which is why I wonít be back - no options for my vegetarian wife. The waitress was a litlle gruff. The food was a little too average for the price. Beer wise, some of their brews are above average some below - itís a mixed bag.

Been here 3 or 4 times, usually on my way back from LA. Beers are fairly average, pizza is pretty good though. Not too keen on the staff, once I sat at a table and asked for the IPA, the waitress came back 5 minutes later and said "weíre out of the IPA but I brought you a pale ale, itís the closest thing." That aside, theyíre not very well trained or motivated. The place as a whole is very messy. It serves a good sized community and could do much better.
