Just a brewing supply store with a counter and a window in the back. Reminded me a lot of Kuhnhenn, except it’s not a brew-on-prem and Kuhnhenn is actually a bit nicer on the inside... now that they serve food. Lots of plastic buckets full of barley malt and other grains, a cold box full of White Labs yeasts and that wonderful little window with a guy behind it asking me what beer I’d like to try next. Lots of choices and good quality. I love these little places... like Alpine Brewing. No seating available. Only $1.00 per sample.

Very small tasting room, it was tough to fit the RBSG crew in there, but the staff was great and made it all work well. Great selection of beers, they run the whole spectrum with solid offerings and a few that really stood out.

Visited here for RBSG 2008. Very welcoming crew. Gave us free samples of most everything they had on tap and gave a brewery tour to thse who were interested. Had a few of their rarer releases on tap here. Just a small little tasting room, no brewpub, but still was a nice experience.

A hole ’n the wall. Its a brew store with taps in the back. People were nice and beer was good. Wish there was a table or a place to sit and enjoy the brew instead of standing around.

Very well equipped homebrew store. OK staff. OK selection of their own beer on tap.

Went to this location for the first time on St. Patti’s Day. Great spot, mellow vibe. 95% of the place is devoted to home brewing but in the back they have a small tasting bar that packs a big punch. Several different seasonals on tap including their Fathom IPL and BA Come About Stout. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the prices were affordable, $1 or $1.50 per taster. Tasters only at this location, they serve pints at the Carroll Canyon location, which is another great spot by the way.

Extensive selection of home brewing equipment and ingredients in the Home Brew Mart. Small tasting bar in the rear with good service, occasionally offering up samplers of the great special brews of BP, like Sculpin and Black Eye. It was nice going to college right across the street from this place as well.

Great brewery with an amazingly helpful staff. Every time I go in I’m surprised with their robust selection of seasonals. If you can’t find a beer you like from these guys there is something wrong with you! Try the Sculpin IPA when its in, AMAZING!

What a tap line up. They have no bar stools but they have a knowledgeable server to come up and pour you what you want. This is not a brewpub but is an excellent place to go to try a superior line up of good beers. If you go to San Diego and don’t go here you have not treated yourself right. Can’t say enough about the friendly staff and damn good beers.

I used to stop here on the way to class at USD and sample up before I had to listen to some boring lecture... I love the place, you will too if you homebrew. This is coupled with HomeBrew Mart and has everything you need. In the back is a nice tasting bar - only Ballast Point offerings - with some rare brews from time to time.
