Closed at 9pm. FAIL! Especially if you’re trying to have a Miami theme. Nobody in Miami eats dinner before 9.

Went there while attending the first 2008 QUAFF meeting. I’ve been here before, when it was named Hops I think. Had an awesome unfiltered Mission IPA on tap. Wow. Waitresses were hot. About 6-7 beers on tap.

This brewery is tucked away in Miami Grille with no signs. Though, the Mission Brewery beers are brewed in the restaurant and served on tap, you won’t even find them on the menu, or any other indication that the brewery is there. Even the windows between the bar and the brewery are tinted. Shhh! It’s a secret. The waiters are very friendly as is the brewmaster, who came out to meet us. I only tried an appetizer, which was very good, but I’ll refrain from rating the food until I’ve had a meal there. Seems like a nice place, the Mission beers are on the up side of average, and the brewmaster’s descriptions of forth coming beers promise to be on the good to great end of the spectrum (e.g. a barleywine at 9% spiced with coriander, cinnamon, citrus peel, and the like, yummy). His award winning IPA is quite good.
