A hipster-friendly bar in the Santa Monica area. Wide-open spaces with clean, modern furnishings (vaguely reminiscent of hip asian cafes). Service was adequate, but not overly friendly (seemed like they were trying to get people to finish up early to close up even though it was before 12). Not much of a crowd for Thursday night, easy to get seats at the bar. Great selection of beer on tap (Oskar Blues, Pliny Elder, Bruery, Rogue, Stone, etc). A decent, if not trendy, beer bar that is worth a visit. I’d like to check out the Culver City location in the future too.

Went here for lunch on Saturday with my girlfriend. Was pretty crowded for the lunch, with loud people. Food was great. Both my girlfriend and I had the burger, and it was excellent! Sweet Potato fries were also suprisingly good. Both servers were extremely knowledgable (including kittiesandbeer). To drink I had Pliny the Elder and a NB Fleur. My girlfriend had RR Perdition and Telegraph California Ale. Will probably return soon, but I am going to go visit dirtymartini and the Culver City location first. It was a bit on the pricey side.

Heard all about the crowds and lines, but when I went in there with my friends, it was pretty empty and we even got a table. Great selection of beers, and the sweet potato fries are amazing. Place is small, and apparently I was pretty lucky getting there when nobody was there. Definitely a great place, and kind of reminds me of Matchbox back in Chinatown in DC.

First visit in about 15 years for Fathers Day. Not crowded on a Sunday afternoon about 4:00. Very limited food menu, and don’t even suggest that you don’t want onions with your steak. The beer selection is outstanding - next time I’m going only for the beer. Used to be much more low key, but the selection was much more limited. Not sure which I prefer.

Trendy spot in Santa Monica. Always packed, but worth the wait. Once you see the beers on tap, you’ll understand and once you’ve had one of their burgers, you’ll probably thank me. How long it takes for you to indulge in both is an entirely different matter.

nice atmoshphere and a very good selection of brews.(craftsman, russian river, alesmith, etc.)service is top notch.although the office burger is way over-hyped and the crowd is a bit pretentious.

This place gets busy (and the fire marshall is now regulating occupancy) so it’s a great early evening place or a weekend lunch spot. Lots of great beers of tap, Stone, Ale Smith....too many to list. They have a website with the list though: www.fathersoffice.com For food, get The Office Burger - i’m a major burger fan and can be pretty particular - it is delicious!

The only things that stop a perfect score are that the taps are rather CA-centric (and barely rotate) and the place is tiny! Okay, Culver is better, but still a bullfight. But this is some of the best food I’ve ever had, beer bar or not. This place is exactly what LA needs more of.

Great place with lots of very good beers on tap. Food is excellent tried the office burger of course. On a Monday night it was very crowded but was able to find bar seating eventually. Tried two different beers I’d never tried before.
