Found this brewery at stateline in south lake Tahoe. Its under ground with no windows, but has a very open feel. The fermentation vessels are right on the dining room floor. Service was great. We had the fish tacos. Onep plate with ahi, and one with mahi mahi. Both were fantastic! But the rest of the menu was pretty pricey, and the selection was a little less than expected. Overall a pretty good place.

Trendy location in the Heavenly complex. Seemed pretty busy, but our server looked like a chicken with his head cut off. He was very disorganized and brought most of us the wrong beers. Didn’t stick around for the food, just the beer. Speaking of beer, they had very few locally brewed options. The samplers consist of mostly other common California beers. I didn’t care for this place that much.

Food was really good and that was definitely the highlight. Only one of their beers was on tap. Lots of OK guest beers. Service was decent. Big place that felt like a chain restaurant. Not really my ideal place, but I will give them credit for food and good service.

Located below ground level. They only have 4 house brews. I had the Avalanche Ale which was quite good. This is offset by a good number of guest brews on tap including Rogue, Desctutes and a number of craft bottled beers. The bartender was friendly but was not familiar with all the types of beers they served. As this place caters to tourists in the summer and is part of a ski resort in the winter, they also carry the usual Macros for the masses. The menu had a good variety but not too extensive. Considering the location on Lake Tahoe the prices are quite reasonable.

basement level, expansive interior, tv’s, dozens of tables, a lot of tourist families. 5 beers on tap: pils, strong scotch, amber, wheat, pale or amber something. generally disappointing food. uncomfortable atmosphere.

Located in a basement in South Lake Tahoe right next to the state line that is this place’s namesake. Fairly big place with a decent atmosphere, despite the fact that it’s more or less a pizza joint and has lots of kids there. I didn’t try the food, but it looked reasonable enough. For a brewery, the selection of beers brewed there pretty much sucks. Pilsner, pale ale, and rotating tap, which at the time was a scotch ale. The quality of the beer is a solid "meh." If you’re someone who knows beer, nothing they brew is likely to impress you. There are, however, some reasonable guest taps from Rogue, Deschutes, etc, as well as some good bottles including a few Belgian and Belgian-style ales. Service is pretty solid. Nice people working there. Overall, this place is pretty average, and the Lake Tahoe area as a whole has some catching up to do as far as beer goes.
