| Naven (54), Poway, California | | January 6, 2009 Probably the best place to have a beer in the Temecula Valley, and that ain’t saying much. Beer geeks are bound to find one or two things worthwhile here, but for the most part, you won’t find anything otu of the ordinary here. The bottle list is somewhat impressive, but the taps are crowded by too much of the standard Harp, Bass, Stella beers. It’s like Half beer geek paradise, half typical Irish pub. The food is pretty good. Typical pub grub. | | DaSilky1 (45), San Diego, California | | September 5, 2008 driving past temecula, i figured i’d get a place rating in and possibly find a beer i cant find down in san diego county. well, 1 out of 2...selection was pretty weak, especially the 20 or so taps of ok beers, pizza port 2nd ave, stone 12th, ballast black marlin porter...but then the majority of the rest were like guiness, boddingtonsm stella, hoegarden, ...blah. i had a hazlenut brown nectar on tap cuz i havent had it ina while. the bottle list took up 2 double doored coolers but nothing too impressive...orval, petrus, damnation, cantillon gueuze, all san diego locals...most of the people in here were by thereselves, like me, which doesnt happen a lot in san diego, but i dont know. didnt eat, didnt stay over 20 minutes. i suppose if there were no other place to go around here, which just may be the case..i guess it would be ok, but really...boring. | DonkeyPunch (2), does not count - explanation | | September 28, 2007 I love this place! Great food, nice atmosphere, friendly service and a fantastic beer selection on hand. I’ve been waiting for a place like this to open in Temecula for ages. |
