I am always up to visit a new Pub and try a good new brew. I thought St.Patty’s Day weekend would be a perfect time to try this Pub Out. Let me start by saying that yes, this pub is an interesting, home-style building that will make you feel welcome. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. That being said I am in no rush to return. The food was average, nothing special, nothing to write home about. The few beers I did have were also nothing special. I will give thumbs up to the stout, but the brown ale was about as bad as they come. While our server was quite nice, she knew nothing about beer at all, which is sad when you are a brewpub. Some food came out cold, some late, some food didn’t come out at all. While downstairs feels like an authentic pub with a local flavor, seating upstairs feels like you are in your grandmother’s attic...no music, no atmosphere, except some weathered books circa 1960. This could be a great place, but it misses the mark. Some attention is definitely needed in training of the staff, and preparation and presentation of the food. It’s an ok place to drop in for a beer at the bar, but that’s about it.

Beautiful building (old house) erected somewhere around the mid-1800s. Very relaxed and cozy atmosphere with Victorian accents and lots of old paintings. Only a few beers are avilable at any given time, but most importantly, two cask-conditioned beers are always available. And equally important is the fact that they are not using sparklers. Always a plus. That said, the Fat Cat Strong Ale was past its prime (slightly vinegary and flat), but the IPA (depsite being served far too warm -- probably because business was extremely slow this evening and the beer had long been sitting in the lines, becoming stale) was well-conditioned. The Strong Ale was plummy, balanced, and restrained, but not in prime condition as I mentioned. The IPA was a bit phenolic, but flavorful with hops and fruity esters, but particularly lacked explosiveness and brightness, largely because of the high tempertaure at which it was dispensed. The barkeep seemed fairly passionate and knowledgeable about Real Ale, but I was slightly disappointed with how fast and how frequently she yanked on the handpump. Her kindness made up for it, though. You’ll always find cool locals looking to strike up conversation at this charming place. I went on a Friday nigft and it was exactly what I was hoping to find in terms of its warmth and inviting atmosphere. I wil definitely return.

Cool looking place (outside and inside). Decent food with average beers. The only downside to my experience was walking into the bathroom with my waiter hunched over the sink and bloody napkins everywhere - God I hope he washed his hands when handling my food and drink (he was MIA 1/2 way through our service). We got there at 12:30pm on a Tuesday and where practically the only ones there (when we pulled up, I could have sworn the place was closed). Waiter wore a kilt too!

Located in a restored mansion in Arvada the ambiance is great a croo between turn of the century and british pub. The service at the bar is decent, but have had a lot of problems in the dining rooms in the past. The beer selection is good. Charlies always trying his hand at something new. The food is fairly good but a wee bit overpriced for the quantity. Overall I really enjoy this place especially $2 pints @ happy hour!

Really sweet ambiance...it’s an old house with that British pub look and feel...you eat in different rooms of the house, and the bar is all dark wood and very warming to the eye. Sure, like with Pints Pub in Denver, the beers are mostly average, but the food is nice (for British cuisine anyway), and the people are very friendly. Two or three hand-pumped cask beers as I recall, in addition to the kegged stuff (all brewed by the guy who brews the Golden City beers, last I checked). Neat place that I’d return to.
