roaddog51 (3), Colorado Springs, Colorado does not count - explanation | | November 29, 2011 The Flow IPA on Nitro is great as well as the selection of guest beers, food is good but not why go there. Service is not great as they are usually understaffed if its is busy, but they bring your beer to you. As others have indicated a bit pricey, but overall a good place to get together with friends for a cold one after a bike ride. | Beermogul (4), does not count - explanation | | November 7, 2011 The best place in town to find the best and rarest micros on tap, including Pliney The Elder. The food is alright, but hard to fill up on. The sliders are tasty, but alot of bread. Limited seating. | | MaltOMeal (24), Land of Sugar, Texas | | September 23, 2011 Was fortunate to find that my GF had booked our hotel room right around the corner from this brewpub. That was a good thing so we could walk back to our room after several brews each night for the two nights we were in CO Spr. They had a good selection of other brews on tap in addition to their own. Had a very fresh Maharaja that was delicious. We were fortunate to be there on a night when they were releasing a new brew - Farmhouse Phantome - which was pretty good. I ordered a growler of it for our drive across CO. Girlfriend ordered a bottle to go - Slap Your Mammy - which was rather pricey for an IIPA. As I recall, their brew prices weren’t cheap on anything. Atmosphere was good, but not enough seating inside. It was rainy both evenings so couldn’t take advantage of their outdoor patio seating. Their food was very good, also. Service was ok. | | fredandboboflo (58), East Setauket, New York | | August 13, 2011 Almost skipped this place despite driving right past it based on some of the scathing ratings, and what a colossal mistake that would have been! Phenomenal beer quality, particularly the saison they had on, making it quite alright that there were only a handful of house taps. Also was interesting that for both the IPA and the Stout you could choose either CO2, cask, or nitro, but due to some unfortunate timing from the aforementioned ill planning, was unable to test out the various varieties. No matter though, I’m still betting they’re all stellar presentations. Fairly small place, but large bar and not cramped, at least while I was there. Crowd was there for the beer, mostly post-college 20-somethings and 30-somethings, maybe into the 40’s. They make great beer. I like it. | | LilBeerDoctor (185), East Setauket, New York | | July 30, 2011 A small brewpub in a strip mall of Colorado Springs. I visited here on a Sunday afternoon after a long hike at Garden of the Gods and it was quite full of people. There were 6-8 house taps and a number of guest taps I can’t recall exactly how many. Other people have commented on the beer pricing - while perhaps on the pricier side, house offerings (roughly between 10-16 oz.) were $5-6. These prices were not unreasonable given the quality of the beer and the location of the brewpub. Yes, 750s were ~$20 but again, also reasonable considering the cost of producing some of these beers which involved specialty ingredients (ie pumpkin saison, sour ales, IIPAs). Enough of the discussion on beer pricing...the beers were great!! All unique stuff and super tasty. I’m disappointed I wasted time at another brewpub in Colorado Springs when I could have easily spent all of my afternoon here. Oh well. I’ll be back for sure when I’m in the area again. | | daknole (194), Scottsdale, Arizona | | July 30, 2011 Awesome. Great food, awesome beer. Nice selection of guest taps. Loved it. | | maltdog (68), Pueblo, Colorado | | June 26, 2011 [ Updated August 30, 2011 ] My impression was that Trinity is eco-pretentious... all the handcrafted stainless steel, fake rust patinas, underlit glass bartop, etc is over the top prohibitively expensive. Clientel was Volvo driving parrotheads at the bar (none of whom ever left their stools or actually drank a beer) and twentysomething nerds everwhere else. Except for a couple sofas in back, indoor seating is all stools; the nonsmoking patio was full of texting smokers. Service was just adequate; unless you have pasty skin, torn clothes and a nose rings, you’ll pretty much be ignored.’re are Pints priced from a steep $5 to $12, and bottled 750s a staggering $16 to $23! There were a large number of guest beers, but only three of their own on tap, and the one I had was kinda bad. I had a hard time with the mainly meat-free menu, but what we ordered was delicious. Entrees do not include sides. Just an okay experience and OMG SO expensive! A simple lunch for two ran about $50 with tip. I’d rather they focussed less on being an art gallery and more on brewing better beer and comfortable seating. | | Rando7 (18), Iowa | | June 9, 2011 Located in a strip mall, decorated in early industrial garage sale but that is part of their schtick as they stress recycling. Service friendly but just not very good, seemed to have a lot of trouble multi-tasking which is an important skill in a bar. Nice variety of their own beers plus some great guest beers. I had the beer sampler which I thought was a good value at 9 bucks plus it included a few cheese cubes. Had the Belgian fries which I thought were very good. Others have said they thought the place was pricey, I thought the prices were very fair. I’d stop in again if I were in the area. | | soyorganic (19), Denver, Colorado | | May 13, 2011 Great place. Nice selection of beer. They even had Avery’s beast on tap. Although in a strip mall, it has a very non-corporate feel. I like the veggie options on food. I will go back. | | jc4031 (16), Colorado | | May 9, 2011 visited yesterday for mothers day. had a flo ipa co2 and bought a bottle of old growth to drink later. really neat little brewpub. i liked the feel of the place, around 20 taps about 8 of their own with a couple casks as well and a decent guest tap selection. service was good. food was good had some sliders with wasabi mustard which was delicious. check this place out if nearby. then go to the garden of the gods for some cool scenery |
