9 reviews for Denver International Airport
| notalush (164), Denver, Colorado | | January 1, 2010 I’m not exactly sure how to rate this "place," considering this entry is really a conflation of at least four "places" - anyway, I can see the logic in entering it all as one place, but the rating part is still troubling - I’ve spent the most time in the Boulder taproom waiting for relatives to fly in, but I’ve been to the Rock Bottom when I flew out here for a job interview this past summer - my experiences in these places are probably fairly typical of all the taprooms in the airport - standard brews, all of which you can get in bottles (in the case of Boulder and NB) - inflated airport bar prices - standard airport bar food - the fact that there are four places to get a quality brew in the airport is quite nice, just don’t expect too much out of the experience. | | ckstanley (11), Vancouver, Washington | | November 16, 2009 The Boulder Beer Pub in DIA is great. Brand new with excellent food and all the Great Boulder Beer favorites I love including Singletrack Copper Ale which is hard to find in Oregon and my all-time Winter favorite, Never Summer.
Beer is great, food is great and I couldn’t be happier that they are now in DIA!
Between Boulder Beer’s Taphouse and Rock Bottom I could live in this airport... | | dukefan (15), Dallas, Texas | | November 10, 2009 As airports go, at least you have some choices. One not mentioned here that is well hidden is New Belgium’s place. It is in the "puddle jumper" section of the United Concourse (B?). Fat Tire, Sunshine Wheat and a seasonal make this a nice beer destination. Food was the usual airport mediocre - but that’s not what you are there for. Rock Bottom in Terminal C is very crowded. If you can’t get a seat at the bar you will generally get ignored by the staff and jostled by the bustle in the dining area. | | illinismitty (224), Nashville, Tennessee | | September 28, 2009 Rock Bottom in Concourse C. Typical airport bar ambiance, cramped and crowded. However, at least you could get something besides macro shit. They had 4 house selections, in which I had two, and they were underwhelming. I did not eat. As far as value, you don’t get much at any airport bar because of the high rent, so that’s to be expected. If you are in concourse C, by all means have a beer. If you sit at the bar section overlooking the gates, they have outlets to plug in your lap top. No wifi though. | | wilsomb (29), State College, Pennsylvania | | June 25, 2009 ChopHouse in Concourse A. The food is quite excellent and they give you a real fork (hard to find when flying). The beer is a little better than your average restaurant-oriented brewpub. I was pleasantly surprised. This is definitely a place to check out if flying through. I hope to get a long layover sometime to try the rest of the airport brewpubs. | | swoopjones (115), Buffalo, New York | | February 9, 2009 Went to Boulder Brewing in the Concourse. Cant go wrong with a Mojo in the airport. Had most of the line up along with Never Summer on tap. Food choices were pretty poor but Tomato Floentine soup & Southwestern salad were not bad at all. Avoid the wraps as they looked pretty bad | | PilsnerPeter (95), Flushing, New York | | October 13, 2008 I luckily had to catch my flight home from the G.A.B.F. 2008 in Terminal C right next to the brewpub. Nice wooden bar with lots of sunlight. You have a view of the planes at the adjacent terminal. The sampler is only like $3 and they give fair sized pours (5oz or so) The beers are only mediocre, but none were bad. Friendly prompt service. Worth the stop if you have time before/after our flight. (I didn’t get to try the food, but it looked pretty good) | | heemer77 (172), Savannah, Missouri | | July 15, 2008 I went from Concourse B to C to try this place. Luckily, the train is fast. Four brews on tap. The food I ordered came pretty fast and was solid. The beers were decent, as you would expect. They had a few bottles of Boulder beer available and I would have tried one if I had more time. A little small, but inline with any other airport bar and restaurant. Certainly worth a stop if you are spending any time in the airport. | | ¾ (649), Boulder, Colorado | | July 14, 2008 [ Updated November 18, 2008 ] Rock Bottom is located in Concourse C. Limited selected of drafts (pale, brown, amber, wheat) but is easily the best place to drink in the airport. Small area overall, feels somewhat cramped at times, but the service is decent enough and the crowd is generally in a good mood. Boulder Beer Taphouse is located before security, so there’s really no chance to visit on a stopover. New Belgium has a cafe/bar at the far end of Concourse B with a few seasonals on tap. There’s also a Denver Chophouse & Brewery that is going in on Concourse A, so drinking options abound at DIA for the picky beergeek traveler. |
