| jacquestorm (15), , | | July 29, 2009 NOT TOO BAD!!! | | amg800 (15), Ada, Michigan | | June 8, 2009 Food and beer at Carver’s is great. Love the back patio. | | thelady (16), fruitland, New Mexico | | September 7, 2008 Food was the best part, but the brews were good too. Several seasonal beers that were really good. Service could of been better but they looked busy. Kind of odd that the brewery is also a bakery, but whatever make them happy. We’ll try it again maybe for lunch instead. | | waolsen (60), Littleton, Colorado | | May 18, 2008 small place. beers below average. not a bad environment but not one I’d recommend. Overall a disappointment but if your in town hit it up. | | Braudog (478), Dayton, Ohio | | September 21, 2006 Sep 06: Of the three breweries I visited in town, this was my favorite. A neat little bakery-turned-cafe-turned-brewery with some hotties offering up the ver good beer, and some scrumptious steaks on the menu, this is tops in Durango. Stop #1! | katbird (2), fort worth, Texas does not count - explanation | | August 3, 2006 We liked the beer but the service was the worst. They have good Ale, didn’t think much of stout. Food was ok, worth the time, if the service is improves | | ratman197 (103), Arvada, Colorado | | July 19, 2006 The ambiance was decent, a comfertable place to have a couple beers. The service was good. When I told the bartender I was on the beggining of a southwestern beer tour the owner came over to talk. The beer selection was average for a small brewpub, with the oak aged amber being my favorite. Did,nt try the food so I can’t comment. Overall it’s a good place to visit. | Liberty (5), Stompwijk, Netherlands does not count - explanation | | August 5, 2005 Spend a few day in Durango during my Holiday in September (of course finishing my holiday in Denver..). We (me and my Friend) liked Carver berwing very well. We tried all the available beers and were given a nice short tour by the brewer. Also a great place to have a nice meal. The beers were all nice (I did like the cask one). | | ¾ (599), Colorado | | October 27, 2004 I visted Carver once in 2003 during the summer. It’s a small building on the main street of downtown Durango, and we sat at a small table next to the small bar and drink beer out of small glasses... but they were the samples, though big ones at about 5-6oz each. The most interesting offering was the scotch ale, which was also available from a firkin... a pretty good winter scotch warmer. I may visit again, to see what’s new, but for pure drinking enjoyment in Durango I’ll keep going to Steamworks, they have better parking, beer and food. |
