thelady (5), fruitland, New Mexico does not count | | September 7, 2008 On a recent trip to Durango we tried all the local brewies, and out of them all durango brewing was out least favorite. The tap room is nice looking but the employees were too busy talking to each other and what looked like their girlfriends to tell us about the brews. We all had the IPA as it was the only beer pouring that day, really sad. Don’t waste your time here go to Carver’s. | Skierguy (1), Durango, Colorado does not count | | April 29, 2008 Durango Brewing Company has recently expanded the tasting room and it is now of a generous size and well appointed. i recently visited on a Thursday night and the had a group of bluegrass musicians playing. they invite musicians in all the time & there is no cover. I believe they give them free beer for playing. it reminds me of some of the pubs I’ve been in in Ireland, with respect to the pub musicians. there is a good sized bar and a small seating area. If you want something to eat, they allow you to grill it yourself in the back. | | Murphy (35), Fort Collins, Colorado | | June 15, 2006 Tiny arse place right off the main road. Brewery is open to the public Thursday-Friday, with a few (3) beers on tap. Very small tasting room connected to a very small brewery. For the avid beer hunter, stop by and get three more ratings of beer you probably won’t like. For an out-of-stater, maybe try SKA Brewing instead, it seems they have a bigger operation although I haven’t visted their brewery. | | KAggie97 (122), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring , Texas | | June 17, 2005 I went here in college, and I seem to remember being in a building devoted to making beer. What I remember was a great atomosphere and good beer. | | acrdz (538), Boulder, Colorado | | December 14, 2004 There is no pub or tasting room for this brewery, only a building located just off the main drag in north Durango. You can find their beers in local bars and liquor stores. The building looked like a small stucco house, with hardly any signage. Don’t know how to rate this place since there is no "place" to go... but perhaps if you wander in you can get a tour or something. When I visited the place looked dead, so please excuse the lack of reasoning for a Service-10, and Overall-12. |
