6 reviews for Golden City Brewery
| pjbern571 (19), Florida | | July 4, 2009 I really enjoyed this place. The better was better than expected and the atmosphere was so unique it was fun. "The 2nd Largest Brewer in Golden" is their phrase and it is literally the back yard and garage of a house. askd for a "tour" and they brought us into the garage, it was really a unique place to say the least. | | ¾ (599), Colorado | | September 30, 2008 [ Updated October 11, 2008 ] Cool little spot near the main drag in Golden. The setup is like someone’s house, with a small tap room and a larger beergarden with window service to the bar. Beer quality is pretty good, much better than you’ll find in bottles that may sit on shelves for too long. Crowd is a mix of young and old but everyone seems to be in a good mood and has an interest in good beer. Great service, the brewer was an excellent host. | | BeerandBlues2 (157), Colorado Springs, Colorado | | February 19, 2008 Nice backyard to sit and enjoy a brew and contemplate how quiet it is and yet so close to Denver proper. Nice mix of house brews along with a fairly friendly brewer. | | hopdog (197), Lansdale, Pennsylvania | | December 12, 2006 Definitely a weird place - like stepping into someone’s converted garage to drink beer. Funny sign on the outside that this is Golden’s second largest brewery (2nd to Coors!). Nice that you can buy bombers and 12oz’ers of some of their beers to go. | | waolsen (60), Littleton, Colorado | | October 7, 2006 weird place. looks like a run down house. lawn furniture(plastic) on the loose rock patio. There really aren’t many options in this town. Coors seems to have a tight grip on this place. Anyway the day I was there it was pretty busy. There was also a dog standing on one of the picknic tables, a boyscout selling popcorn in the corner of the patio(who thought that was a good idea?), and a kid in a cape in the lawn next door getting shot by a bb gun. I have to agree that this is a friendly place but don’t expect much. | | ratman197 (103), Arvada, Colorado | | April 24, 2006 Nice small place like hanging out at a friends place especialy the yard. You have to go get your own beer but they;re quick getting it. The selection is generally about 6 beers all nice and fresh. They do have munchies available but no meals. Overall a comfortable friendly place to visit. |
