Small place with a handful of really good beers. Like lots of places in the area, stuff sits on the shelf for a long time. One of the few places around to pick up anything decent.

Cottrell’s description pretty well sums it up for me as well. Be wary of the more delicate beers that don’t have a long shelf life as I found several sixers that were well past their enjoy by date while browsing.

Hole in the wall, crowded and cluttered little store, with a very nice selection. They have a large selection of domestic beer, and a fair selection of imports as well. On my last visit, I picked up Thumbsucker, Nostrodamus, Oud Beersel Kriek and Gueuze, Thomas Hardy 2003, Flying Dog Wild Dog, Val-Dieu Triple, St. Bernardus Prior 8 (they also had the tripel), and a couple other goodies. Space is very limited, but they make good on what space they do have. They also carry odds and ends like glassware, picked up a Humble Patience nonick last time I was there, pretty sweet. Oh, and on the side coolers, you can get MD 20/20, Richard’s Wild Irish Rose, and Boone’s Farm... what can I say, it’s within reach of Uconn students.
