I’ve been here several times during last few years, well, obviously not so excited as the others, but here we go... Inside is very nicely decorated, with some rare beers exibited, otherwise LOTR themes, very nice. Only problem is everything is very small and really a lot of tables placed inside. I’ve been outside, to have more space. It’s a fine terrace, ok, it was raining that day so it was messy with chairs around, but they should keep it more clean and decorate those concrete walls with some plants or so... Service is rather slow, although may be friendly. Pretty good selection of beers, actually there is about 20-30 some of there are quite hard to find. There is no food. I owe great thanks to Doggythedog guiding me through Zagreb those 3 days.

I found this place by accident! What a cute place, with a pleasant garden and a cozy indoor section too. Great location. Not just a tribute to LOTR: it is a tribute to beer as well. They have a good selection. Worth visiting for sure, and Zagreb is such a nice city!

A really nice and cozy pub with a small, warm garden and a welcoming interior with lots of LOTR artefacts. I can appreciate a theme that is well kept and not too gimmicky. Acceptable prices, interesting location up the Zagreb Hill in the center and a rather generous beer menu for this part of the world. I could see myself hanging in there for a night.

Great bar with friendly staff and good beers. Interior is decorated in Lord of the rings style, with lots of swords and other old weapons. Considering offer, prices are reasonable. Of course, like it states the sign on the entrance:
This place is forbiden for orcs and trolls

The place with the best selection of Belgian beers in Croatia. Located in the Gornji Grad, in a relatively plain, but easy to get to sidestreet (compared to its surroundings). As can be seen from the name, this was quite heavily inspired by Tolkien’s work, and a lots of coctails and drinks have names inspired by that. The beers on tap (well tended to from what I’ve seen) never change (Erdinger HW and DW, Fischers Stiftungsbrau (damn rare), Guinness, Harp and at least one more I can’t think of), but the bottle selection does a lot. Still, there are always at least 20 different beers available, mostly Belgian, and very rare for Croatia. The service is great, fast, friendly, and knowledgeable. The coffee is of very high quality, so, if you’re not in the mood for a beer this works too. The prices are relatively high, but rightly so in my opinion. The patio is in the shade. The place isn’t big, but it’s really worth visiting.
