Forced my two female Swiss roommates to accompany me here after going to the castle. I’d promised them somewhere cool to drink beer and luckily it delivered. The staff and others drinking there were all friendly and some of the beers available were pretty good too.

great location close to the castle. I really liked this place. Good beer and food was very good too. At first we walked into the smoking side, which is the obvious choice, but we were pointed quickly to the none smoking side, which is opposite the smoking side. The smoking area definitly has more character than the none smoking area, which is a bit bland. Beers here were really good though. They had four of their beers on offer. The standard offerings are a pale lager, a dark beer and the IPA. And then they always have a special brew, which changes regularly. In our case it was a IIPA, which was great too. I mentioned already, food was really tasty too. They also offer some bottles for take away, but for some reason, those are way more pricey than the tap prices, so not worth it. Definitly recomennded, especially since its in a great location for tourists.

Beautiful place indeed in a old Cloister not far from the castle .. We had 2 beers and the tmavy 13 was gourgeous .. We had the food as well that was good .. Good place !REVISITED TUESDAY 16th 2014 .. After few years and I confirm my impressions about this place .. This time we stayed not in the implants room ( a big shame because they were brewing ) but in the other one which we missed the last time .. I got again the tmavy 13 that is good .. Great place for a afternoon beer after the walk to get here .,

Very touristic, hence overcrowded place. However, they do know how to brew the beer - almost never was dissapointed with any type that I’ve tried.

5th Oct 2014: lunchtime session with Goulash. Brewing equipment on show across the courtyard, we were in the white walled room just lower than the more touristy ’brew-room’ across the way. Three beers on tap, all duly tried. IPA was the best. Basic and very tourist minded in operation and prices. Did not really take to the place.

Top of castle hill. Nice beers. Excellent food. Rather monastic setting. Cheerful service. Take a map!

Best goulash in Prague, very good service, nice variety of beers, tried them all except weizen. Nice beer terrace in the court yard. Sausages in oily paprika beer sauce were divine. Very good beers, IPA especially. Highly recommended.
