2 beers avaliable in the winter period. They were both good and cheap as anywhere in Prague. 2-3 US a pint. The area around the castle and the walk down from Strahov was a beautiful experience. So when you visit the area and enjoys the view - go enjoy a couple of beers.

We found this place by accident, thank goodness!! I drank one of the best weizens I’ve ever had. I tried all 3 beers they had on tap, excellent! The service was excellent, and the sausage and schnitzel were great. It may be considered expensive by czech standards but for what we spent for 2 lunches and 5 beers wouldn’t have even bought 1 round in a milanese pub.

Quite a walk to get there, uphill, but the view is fantastic and it is nice to eat and drink outdoor in the shadow. Beer and food was OK, the waiters quick in spite of the many people present. Only 2 beers.

Stopped here to try the light and dark. Had the beers along with the goulash. Everything was good, prices seemed fair.

If your feets aching after hours of walking, head uphill to the Strahov Monastery, take a seat outside if the weathers nice, and order one of the fabolous Norbert beers, I like the dark one best (Tmavé 14° ) The food are nice, but as for the beers, a bit pricey compared to the rest of Prague.

A fantastic brewpub near Pražský hrad and well worth the walk uphill to get here. Outdoor area is nicely fitted with large tables and very easy to spend a few hours here relaxing and drinking sensational brews, all the beers are top notch. The food was great as well as the service though it did take a long while to get the bill, but was very busy when I was there.

Small brewpub near the fortress, interior consists of tiles and a couple of beer ads. Wooden tables. Two kettles next to the entrance, where brewing takes place as you drink your beer. The place reeks of malts, but this has a charm of its own. House beers are nice, we really enjoyed the weizen. Didn’t order food, so no judgement on that. Nice place, interesting beers. Worth a visit/detour.

Very nice brewpub and restaurant located inside the Strahov Monastery. Very nice outdoor area on our summer visit. Three of their own (excellent) beers on draught. Very good food. Both beer and food are quite pricey compared to most Prague bars. Serivce was nice and correct, but could probaly be a bit quicker. Will definitely come back on the next visit to Prague.

The pub is strategically located. It’s about halfway up the hill when going from the downtown touristy Prague walking up the equally touristy hill with the castle and everything. Basically it’s the perfect pit-stop. The pub is actually two separate buildings with a wonderful patio in between the two. The building on the left is more like a pub while the building on the right is more like a restaurant. Both feel very authentic in their respective ways. Beer and food is among the most pricey I’ve had in Czech Republic although by my North American standards this is still dirt cheap. Beer was about average and food was average, my goulash was below average but my friends meals looked delicious. I didn’t like the fact that the beers were served in 400ml. WTF. A beer in Czech Republic comes in a 500ml pint, period. Terrible service, a rarity in Czech Republic. 3 beers on tap including one seasonal. I’ll remember this pub as the pub that served the Svatý Norbert Velikonoční 13°, the best standard Světlý (non-barel-aged) I’ve had in Czech Republic. Unfortunately this was the seasonal but I’d book a flight back to Czech republic just to drink that beer. Overall it is really worth stopping by for a few hours. Plus if you do the Prague touristy circuit you’ll be walking right next to it.

A truly great place - wonderful setting within the first courtyard of the Klasterni Strahov. New, modern feel to the rustic wooden tables and chairs as well as a large oudoor seating area. Okay service, though it was a bit unpersonal. Highlight of the day when a Spanish ’mama’ arrived, blabbering in Spansih to the friendly waitors. Who didn’t understand a thing. She kept blabbering. Their beers are simply outstanding as well. I’ll go here everytime I’m in Prague from now on!
