small little place but lots of outside seating, nice selection of there own beers,which iwas very impressed with . All told im really pleased id stoped by here on my second Prague visit and it would make it onto any futrure visit.

Visited July/11. Nice place for a beer/food stop while visiting sites around. Great Beers (3 listed in Czech Republic top 10), I liked the IPA (English style) and the Dunkel.

Very nice brewpub near the castle. Food is vey good and local beer is wonderful: tried the amber, IPA and dark: all of them were excellent.

A classic place to take the first beer in Prague. Ok, it can be crowded by tourists, but the food is decent and the beers are really good. The Svaty Norbert IPA is my favourite, but the seasonal Masopustni Polotmava was a pleasant surprise. A nice walk down to Stare Mesto, passing by the Prague Castle and over the Charles Bridge. (Visited 22. and 25th February 2012)

I quite like this place. Potentially it could be a dodgy, expensive and unpleasant tourist trap, due to the position and the easy foreign targets, but somehow manages not to be bad at all. The beer, however expensive, is truly excellent, from the unfiltered Amber to IPA. The food is good and comes at acceptable prices, and the service is normally nice and friendly, all considering. It is also a place where one can go just for a beer or two and there are a few Czech people doing so, and this is a good sign!

I go to Strahov mostly for the food actually, its def worth it. The beers are great too, my favorite is the St Norbert double IPA. A bit pricy, but you cant blame them as the place is just above the Prague castle (rent must be steep). The atmosphere is a bit touristy, not met many local regulars there, but I might have been unlucky? Nice garden for hot summer days.

Very touristy place with quite arrogant staff and nice location. But beers are superb. Anyway, worth for a visit, at least to buy bottled beers for home consumption.

Wow. super beers. I especially appreciate the effort to break the svetle / tmave / polotmave hegemony with brews such as an all-Saaz nitrogen-poured IPA and a seasonal "autumn dark" dunkle bock. Speaking of autumn, the large heated terrasse is a nice place to enjoy those magnificent brews on a coldish day. Accompanied by a hot onion soup and you are in heaven, which is probably the desired effect since you are in a monastery.

Definitely worth a stop if you are in the castle area. Nice location, but pretty crowded. I enjoyed the beer, but the "Brewery plate" was not worth waiting 45 minutes for. It was nothing wrong with it, but it’s strange that they need 45 minutes to prepare a cold plate. The beer was worth waiting for...

Hard to find place. had to ask locals for directions. It was busy and tables had reserved tags on it that allready expired. When asked if we could sit there we were refused. Staff was not polite nor caring. If not excellent beer tehy had we would leave this palce for more friendly one.
